6.1 Functions of the DC Transmission Cabinet of the APM30

The DC transmission cabinet of the APM30 provides space for the user equipment.
Function

Description

Providing 48
V DC power
supply

The 48 V built-in DC-BOX has the following functions:

l

Supports 48 V DC power input

Provides six 48 DC power outputs: LOAD1 to LOAD6 LOAD1

supplies power to the fan while the other five outputs supply power to
the user equipment

Providing
space for the
user equipment

The DC transmission cabinet of the APM30 provides a 19-inch standard

space of 11 U for the user equipment.

When an AC heater is installed in the 1 U space at the lowest part of the

cabinet, the DC transmission cabinet provides a space of 10 U for the
user equipment.

Providing
related alarms

Provides three dry contact alarm ports for remote and attendance-free
monitoring.
l

Dry contract port 1: connects to the door status sensor. An open circuit
means that the connection is faulty while a closed circuit means that the
connection is normal.

Dry contract port 2: connects to the DC-BOX surge protector. An open

circuit means that the connection is faulty while a closed circuit means
that the connection is normal.

Dry contract port 3: connects to the extended monitoring board. An open

circuit means that the connection is faulty while a closed circuit means
that the connection is normal. The faults include fan failure, temperature
sensor failure, internal overtemperature or undertemperature.

NOTE

1. Category C environment refers to ocean surface, outdoor land near pollution sources, and places with
weak shield (for example, a canopy).
2. The outdoor land near pollution sources refers to the following areas:
l

3.7 km away from a salt lake or ocean

3 km away from severe pollution sources such as a metal production plant, a coal mine, and a
thermal electricity plant and 2 km away from moderate pollution sources such as a chemical plant,
a rubber mill, and an electroplating plant

1 km away from light pollution sources such as a food product factory, a leather product factory,
and a heating boiler factory
