Work Experience
Maintenance Supervisor
Present: Supervising the maintenance Team for Sears +-1ml sq ft supply chain distribution center (DC) in Texas and
reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Role:
• Carrying out P/M’s with the aid of Maintenance Management Software System and taking leading role in diagnosing
hardware issues contributing to DC productivity & operating expenses.
• Insuring constant site safety practices in conjunction with Loss Protection (LP) Team as defined by the Occupational Health
and Safety Acts and Company policies.
• Managing all their DC facilities which includes; Conveyors, Pneumatics & Compressors, Hydraulics, PEC’s, Encoders,
PLC’s (Allen Bradley), Industrial Electronics, Bar Code Scanners, Instrumentation, 3 Phase Motor Control Centers, General
Lighting, Building Maintenance, Forklifts/Reach Trucks/Tuggers & their battery Maintenance, to mention a few.
• Managing maintenance expenses and capital projects to insure compliance with company monthly & annual budgets.
• HR issues such as: facilitating team development and training on ‘Lock Out Tag Out’ procedures, Blood Pathology
procedures, Safety, eScreen123 Drug testing.
• Supervision of the out sourced Housekeeping personnel.

Key Accomplishments.
Plastic Bag Project. - To modify material handling equipment to accommodate merchandise in plastic bags, to replace
small cartons - saving on wasted shipping of 'air'. - This was a Team project.
Distribution thru-put improvement process. - Research various sorters abroad. Purchasing and installing same
within set budgets of +-$6.5mil. Improved thru-puts from 450k units/day to 1ml units/day
Carton sealing process improvement. - Pilferages were on the increase during transport and loading.
Introduced a deferent carton style and using an in-expensive cold glue applier to seal cartons leaving the DC before
transport.
