"Buyingorganizationscanspecifywhetherornotthebuyershouldbeinvolvedintherequesterchangeorderprocess.
This is regardless of the data (unit price, quantity, amount, need by date, start date and end date) changed by the
requesterontherequisitionorthemagnitudeofthechange.Incaseswherethebuyerisnotinvolvedinthechange
orderapprovalprocess,thesystemsendsanFYInotificationtothebuyerwhenthechangerequestisaccepted.
Administratorscansetupupperandlowertolerancelimitswiththeseattributes.So,foranychangetothese
attributesthatliewithinitstolerancelimits,buyerapprovalwouldnotberequired.
Thetolerancescanbedefinedbyeither%amountorabsoluteamount.
Thereisalsoanoptiontobypassbuyer'sapprovalifthePOwasoriginallyautocreatedfortherequisition.These
controlsaredefinedatOUlevel.
AdministratorscandefineanUpperTolerancelimitandaLowerTolerancelimitforalltheseattributesinthe
TolerancesandRoutingsforRequesterChangeOrderworkflow.

Atanygiventime,therecanbeonlyasinglechangerequestpendingforeachrequisition.Untilthependingchange
requestiscompletelyactedupon,therequestercannotrequestanynewpurchaseorder(PO)changerequestsforthe
requisition.
Onlytheprepareroftherequisitioncanrequestpurchaseorderchangerequestsfortherequisition.
Ifapurchaseorderlinecontainsmultipledistributionscorrespondingtothedifferentrequisitionlines,thenthe
purchaseorderlineisnoteligibleforchangerequestandnoneoftheOracleiProcurementrequesterswhoprepared
therequisitionscanrequestchangestothepurchaseorder.
IfthepurchaseorderhasanyapprovalstatusotherthanApproved,thenthepurchaseorderisnoteligiblefora
changerequestandnoneoftheOracleiProcurementrequesterswhopreparedtherequisitionsassociatedwiththe
purchaseordercanrequestchangestothepurchaseorder.
IfthepurchaseorderhasacontrolstatusofClosed,Cancelled,FinallyClosed,FreezeorHold,thenthepurchase
orderisnoteligibleforachangerequestandnoneoftheOracleiProcurementuserwhopreparedtherequisitions
associatedwiththepurchaseordercanrequestchangestothepurchaseorder.
IfthepurchaseordershipmenthasacontrolstatusofClosed,Cancelled,FinallyClosed,FreezeorHold,thenthe
purchaseordershipmentisnoteligibleforachangerequestandnoneoftheOracleiProcurementrequesterwho
preparedtherequisitionlinesassociatedwiththepurchaseordershipmentcanrequestchangestothepurchaseorder
shipment.
PricechangesfornoncatalogrequestitemsarenotallowedforPartiallyInvoiced,Received,orAccrueonReceipt
purchaseorders,iftheprofileoptionPO:AllowRetroactivePricingofPOsissettoNEVERorOPENRELEASES.Ifthe
profileoptionissettoALLRELEASES,thenthepricechangesareallowed,evenforPartiallyInvoiced,Received,or
AccrueonReceiptpurchaseorders.
Whenthepurchaseorderlinecontainsanoncatalogrequestiteminaforeigncurrency,theOracleiProcurement
requestercanrequestapricechangeforthatiteminboththeforeigncurrencyoftheitemaswellasthefunctional
currencyfortheoperatingunit.Incaseofapricechangerequestintheforeigncurrencyoftheitem,theconversion
rateusedforthechangerequestisthesameastheoneusedat
thetimeofpurchaseordercreation.
WhilethepurchaseorderchangerequestisbeingapprovedintheOracleiProcurementrequester'sapproval
hierarchy,ifthepurchaseorderbecomesineligibleforchange(purchaseordergoesintoaCancelledcontrolstatus),
thenthepurchaseorderchangerequestisautomaticallyrejected.Thebuyerdoesnotreceivethenotificationto
processthechangerequest.Thechangerequestdoesnotappear
onthebuyerselfservicewindow.
AfterthepurchaseorderchangerequesthasbeenapprovedintheOracleiProcurementrequester'sapproval
hierarchyandbeforetherequestissenttothebuyeronthepurchaseorderforprocessing,averificationcomparesthe
requestedvaluesfortheattributesonthechangerequestandthecurrentvaluesonthepurchaseorder.Ifthese
valuesaresame,thenthepurchaseorderchangerequestis
automaticallyaccepted.Thebuyerdoesnotreceivethenotificationtoapprovethechangerequest,nordoesthe
requestappearinthebuyerselfservicewindow.
WhilethepurchaseorderchangerequestisbeingapprovedintheOracleiProcurementrequester'sapproval
hierarchy,ifthepurchaseordergoesintoanInProcessapprovalstatusoraRequiresReapprovalstatus,thenthe
purchaseorderchangerequestisdeferredandisnotsenttothebuyeruntilthepurchaseorderisintheApproved
status.
Encumbrancesupport(ifenabled)isavailableforthechangerequest.Whentherequesteriscreatingthepurchase
orderchangerequestinOracleiProcurement,theencumbrancefundsverificationrunsfortherevisedrequisition
documenttotalifthereisachange(increaseordecrease)tothedocumenttotal.Theactualfundsreservationruns
afterthebuyerrespondstothepurchaseorderchangerequest.

Taxsupportisavailableforthechangerequest.Whilesubmittingthechangerequest,theestimatedtaxthatapplies
totherequisitionisrecomputedbasedontherevisedrequisitiondocumenttotal.
Ifpricebreaksapplytothepurchaseorderthatarebasedonthechangesthattherequesterhasmade,thoseprice
breaksapplytothepurchaseorder."
Incasethesystemrejectsautomaticallythechangeorder,verifyifanyoftheconditionsaboveisbeingviolated.
In11.5.10thechangeordertolerancesaresetinthePOChangeRequestToleranceCheckworkflowdirectly.In
release12thereisapagetosetthetolerancesinPurchasingresponsibility>Setup>TolerancesandRoutings.

TherequisitionlinewhichisinaRFQandhastheawardas0cannotbechanged.SameiftheRFQlineisawarded
andinaPO/GBPA/BPAline.
Iftherequisitionlinesfromdifferentrequisitionsaregrouped,youcanexecutethechangeaslongtheyaregrouped
inoneline,oneshipmentandonedistribution.Ifyouhaveseparatedistributionspershipment,thechangeisnot
allowed.[Thissectionisnotvisibletocustomers.]

ExplanationoftheprofilePO:AllowRetroactivePricingofPOs':
Iftheprofile'PO:AllowRetroactivePricingofPOs'issetto'AllReleases'and
Blanket Releases / Standard POs that are already received are retroactively updated then corresponding accounting entries will be
created.
ReceiveTransaction:
ReceivingInspectionAccountDebitfortheChangedAmount
AccrualAccountCreditfortheChangedAmount.
DeliverTransaction:
RetroactiveAccountDebitfortheChangedAmount.
