Function

An EPU05A-02 or EPU05A-04 subrack distributes AC and DC power.

l

An EPU05A-02 or EPU05A-04 subrack performs the following AC power distribution functions:

Provides two AC outputs. One is used for the service outlet unit (SOU). The other one is connected to the AC junction box on the left of the cabinet, and divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater or heating film.

Reports AC input surge protection alarms.

l

An EPU05A-02 or EPU05A-04 subrack provides 12 DC outputs for a separated macro base station.

NOTE

At a site configured with two or more APM30Hs, if two PMU units are connected to one RS485 bus for the BBU, the monitoring address of the other PMU is set to 4. That is, the lower four bits of the DIP switch are set to 0010.

PSU (R4850G2)

A power supply unit (PSU) (R4850G2) converts 110 V AC or 220 V AC power into -48 V DC.

A

PSU (R4850G2) performs the following functions:

l

Converts 110 V AC or 220 V AC power into -48 V DC and adjusts the output voltage.

l

Provides protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overtemperature for its DC outputs.

l

Dissipates heat using its built-in fans.

2.6.2 Junction Box

The junction box is configured in the BTS3900AL, APM30H, TMC11H, IBBS700D, or

IBBS700T cabinet. When a heater or a heating film is configured, the junction box feeds power

to the heater or the heating film.

Exterior

A junction box is installed on the left inner side of the APM30H, TMC11H, IBBS700D, or

IBBS700T. In the BTS3900AL, the junction box is installed on the right inner side of the cabinet. The following figure shows the position and exterior of the junction box in the APM30H.

Functions

The junction box used in the BTS3900AL, APM30H, TMC11H, IBBS700D and IBBS700T performs the following functions:

l

The PDU05A-01 feeds power to the junction box in the BTS3900AL. The power is divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater in the cabinet.

l

The EPU subrack feeds power into the junction box in the APM30H. The power is divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater in the cabinet or heating film in the IBBS200D.

l

The junction box in the APM30H feeds power into the junction box in the TMC11H. The power is divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater or service outlet unit (SOU) in the cabinet.

l

The junction box in the primary cabinet (BTS3900A, BTS3900AL, or TP48600A-H17B1) feeds power into the junction box in the IBBS700D or IBBS700T. The power is divided into four AC power outputs, which are then provided for the heater in the cabinet.
