Does anyone have mutations that mean your mitochondria don't function well?

Low energy levels? What can be done to help if you can't tolerate ATP fuel? I
think I can't tolerate it because of the probiotic in it. The ATP fuel made me very
nauseous and depressed and achy and weak, joint pain. A tiny amount of
probiotics have the same effect on me and it contains a probiotic.
These are my notes from a year ago - me taking notes of what my practitioner
told me. I'm just after thoughts re. this cause I haven't tried anything else to
help..
"Hetero gene mutation to making SOD which protects mitochondria - (the energy
powerhouse in a cell). Toxins in my body probably damage the mitochondria in
my cells.
ACAT gene is for energy production - mine is mutated.
My body can't create energy well - can't turn food into energy very well."

Marcia Hempel I have heard that adenosylcobalamin is good for the
mitochondria...

Ilene Pedersen I don't know about your allergies but this says ingredients derived
from soy, which is not good

Sandra Smith I take PQQ, CoQ10, and D Ribose and eat liver every week. Liver is
essential for feeding your mitochondria

Kylie Grayston I can't really have soy. But that's not what gave me the horrible
reaction.

Kylie Grayston I can't have liver cause histamines/amines.

Sandra Smith Liver helps decrease histamines though

Kylie Grayston But it's high in amines.

Angela Dawn
Angela Dawn I will simplify this:
When you stimulate the ATP within your cells, your cells are gonna do their job
more efficiently which means get the crap out that doesn't belong. Expect to
detox. Many people feel lousy because their body hasn't been working for so
long when it finally does, it has a lot of "garbage" to clean out.... Your cells need
energy to perform its most basic tasks....
Hang in there, don't be afraid to go through the storm, let your body work and
catch up with everything it needs to. Drink lots of purified water, cleanse your
bowels and get lots of restorative sleep

Kylie Grayston Thanks I didn't realise that. I have a 7.5 month old waking me up
several times a night, definitely not getting sleep any time soon. I'm trying to be
a mummy, exclusively breastfeeding still, and teaching a dozen piano students.
This just isn't the time for me to cope with detox when the tiniest bit knocks me
out on the couch unable to do anything or care for my baby and so depressed I
don't want to do anything and kind of want to just die so I guess.. I have to
just wait and work on gut and histamine and mthfr nutrients and pyrolles stuff
first.

Angela Dawn Detox is inevitable...
I understand your fusteration though, the majority of people with Chronic pain
and or certain immune disorders have that issue!

Margaret Elvin Interesting recommendations. Are the Bs specific for
mitochondrial function? Thanks!

Lisa Bobrin Margaret Elvin, I did the 23andme saliva test and it came back with
SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) in my Mitochondria that required my
body support the Respiratory chain, which is inside each cell,if you research how
to do this, B1, CoQ10, Acetyl LCarnitine, etc., and then if you support
Methylation, you need B2, so, it's just easier to do say 100-200mg of B1, B2,
CoQ10, L-Carntine, some folks like and need R-Alpha LIPOIC and now many find
that PQQ is also boosting their energy. It's about feeding the body what it needs.

Margaret Elvin Thank you Lisa. I also did 23&me. My most troublesome snp might
be CBS699 +/- that gets upregulated every time I kick up methylation a few
notches. I'm also MTHFR 677+/- . I think mito snp's are ok but need to check,
however certainly in poor shape from Lyme and mold. I mostly take only B1,
B2,B5 and biotin these days since my b6 abs b12 go too high. Has your formula
helped your mito function?

Patty Sweeney Kylie, is there any possible way for you to slow down on perhaps
doing the piano lessons? I have found that stress, lack of sleep, poor diet,
etc....only make this disease worse, and deplete your adrenals. Please make
yourself a priority if you can. easier said than done I know!

Kylie Grayston Not really, I don't want to stop teaching cause then I would have
my husband at work more hours and me with baby more hours which is even
harder. Honestly teaching is way less stressful than being with a seven month
old.
