Avtron AVRplus Benefits

The AVRplus makes costly and long lead time GCU/VRs and OEM
test regulators obsolete. No need to stock an OEM GCU or VR for the
sole purpose of testing.
The AVRplus is the most cost effective Test Voltage Regulator on
the market due to its universal design and ability to be used with
any test stand.
No special computer hardware is needed for adding emulation software
programs (personalities).
Its modular design makes repair and replacement of parts simple.
The AVRplus contains additional protective functions found in flight
worthy GCUs.
The AVRplus is used with Aircraft AC and DC Generators, IDGs,
CSDs, and VSCF & VF Generators.

The Avtron AVRplus connected to an Avtron K938 Universal CSD/IDG/GEN Test Stand.

The AVRplus uses multiple emulation (personality) software packages

that simulate electrical characteristics of many GCU/VRs. Over one
hundred personalities can be programmed into one AVRplus with no
need for extra hardware.
A universal CT package is available for the AVRplus to emulate external
line CT's required by the various test specifications. This eliminates the
need to dedicate multiple flight worthy CT's for testing purposes.
In addition, the AVRplus has the ability to display real-time testing data
and can verify its functionality through its Built-in Test (BIT) capability.
The AVRplus is automatically configured when connected to Avtrons
industry standard ATE++ environment found on the K938, K838AT, and
K738/K400B-XL test stands. However, the AVRplus can be used with any
CSD/GEN/IDG test stand on the market. The AVRplus can be tested and
calibrated on Avtron K825B, K735, or UnivATE test sets.
The AVRplus package will include; The AVRplus, Off-line Power Supply,
Calibration Tools, Computer Interface Cable, Operators Manual and
Personality Software all enclosed in a rugged shipping/storage container.

Avtron equipment! Since 1953,
Avtron service and replacement
support have been provided to all
Avtron test equipment users
regardless of system age.
Avtron maintains a full-time staff
of customer support engineers as
a part of our Quality Assurance
Department. In most cases, the
Customer Support Engineer
assigned to on-site service is the
same Engineer who has followed
that test system through manufacturing and final testing. This
assures in-depth familiarity with
the system and the ability to handle all aspects of start-up and
training. That Customer Support
Engineer will continue to maintain
personal contact through telephone, fax, e-mail, and personal
visits.
