Constitution Project
The objective of this project is to more deeply explore an issue which we are concerned with. Students
will research multiple perspectives on an issue or idea, and present them to their class on the Thursday,
Friday, or Monday, after their projects are due. This project will be due on Wednesday, May 26.
Throughout the next 2.5 weeks, we'll be teaching mini-lessons on important processes (such has “How
a Bill Becomes a Law” and “Amending the Constitution”). We will have one final quiz on
The purpose of your Constitution Project is to help you better understand the Constitution as we study
it. This project will be worth 75 points. Rubrics will be available for projects on Friday, 5/16.

All projects must be at our standard for clarity, content, and creativity. Doing the minimum earns you
an average grade. You may collaborate with someone from your same class period, but in no bigger
than a group of 3.

Pop-up Book
Make a pop-up book describing any topic discussed on this sheet. Be sure to use heavier paper
(like construction paper) so it lasts longer. You should include a cover page, 5 pop-up pages, and
2 sentences on each page. Be sure to include on the cover what the process or topic is about. Use
your creative genius to make a topic come alive, and I will keep it to show future students. Not
just for showing off, but people will actually learn from your book if you do it well!

Be Creative!!! If you have another idea or topic, bring it to me, and we can discuss it. For vacationing
families, parents should contact me if this project runs into time constraints. Keep in mind, I am
distributing this assignment one month in advance, and I expect most students to complete it by the
deadlines given.
