Welcome To SAP CRM 2006s

Marketing specialist Donna Moore begins her working


day with a look at her tasks and appointments for the day

She personalizes the layout of her home page

Donna searches for a particular campaign, and


sorts the campaigns in the result list
Next, she selects a campaign, and checks the
details for this campaign
Now she searches for a particular contact.
Because the contact is new, Donna enters his
details in the system, and assigns marketing
attributes
Checking her calendar, Donna is reminded that
she has a meeting with a customer, and logs off

Lets get started!

Today well be accompanying marketing specialist Donna Moore.


Donna begins her working day by checking her tasks and appointments for the day ahead.
She does this in SAP CRM 2006s.
She personalizes the default layout of her home page.
Donna searches for a particular marketing campaign, and sorts the campaigns in the result
list.
Next, she selects a campaign, and checks the details for this campaign.
Then she searches for a contact. Because the contact person is new, Donna enters his
details in the system, and assigns marketing attributes to him.
Checking her calendar, Donna is reminded that she has a meeting with a customer, and logs
off from the system.

1 Todays Appointments And Tasks

Donna Moore, a marketing specialist at PC4You, uses SAP CRM 2006s to do her daily work
more efficiently and easily.
On her home page, she has access to important personal data, such as her tasks and
appointments for the day.
(1) First, Donna checks her appointments so that she can plan her day.
(2) To stay in control of her work, she also checks her tasks.
(3) On the home page, Donna can also start the search, and...
(4) ...create contacts, and send e-mails

2 Home Page

Donna normally uses the default layout for her home page. However, she wants to slightly
adjust the page to better suit her requirements.

-> To do this, she clicks Personalize in the work area toolbar.

3 Personalizing The Home Page

Donna can choose the content that is displayed on her home page. Because she doesnt use
the reports for her current work, she wants to hide this block.
(1) To do this, she clicks the empty line in the dropdown list for reports.
(2) Done! Donna saves the layout of her home page.

4 Starting The Search Page For Campaigns

One of Donnas tasks today is to finish off the preparations for a marketing campaign. To do
this, she first wants to look at a campaign from last year. However, she cant remember all the
details, so she uses the search. She makes use of various search operators from SAP CRM
2006s.
(1)+(2) In the Search block, Donna clicks Campaigns; this starts the search page.
(3)+(4) Alternatively, in the navigation bar, under Marketing, Donna clicks Campaigns. This
does the same thing.

5 Entering Search Criteria

Donna wants to find all campaigns that are contained in the marketing plan C/0000, and that
start between October 1st, 2005, and July 11th, 2006. To do this, she does the following:
(1) For the ID, Donna selects the search operator starts with.
(2) In the same line, she types C/0000.
(3) For the Planned Start Date search criterion, Donna selects the search operator is between,
and...
(4) ...types 01.10.2005 as the earliest start date. Alternatively, she can select the date in the
calendar.
(5) Then she enters the latest start date by selecting it from the calendar. Alternatively, she can
type it directly.
(6) In SAP CRM 2006s, Donna can save searches, so that she can use them again. This saves
her time if she regularly searches for the same things.
(7) Donna starts the search by clicking Search.

6 Sorting Campaigns

In the result list, Donna has all the campaigns that begin with C/0000. To find the one she
wants, she sorts the campaigns in chronological order.

-> She clicks the underlined column title Planned Start Date. The campaigns are sorted by
date.

7 Selecting A Campaign

(1) In the result list, next to the column Planned Start Date, an arrow tells Donna the order in
which the campaigns are sorted.
(2) To check the details for a particular campaign, she clicks the hyperlink in the Campaign ID
column.

8 Viewing Campaign Details

Donna checks the details of the campaign.


(1) She checks the campaign data under General Data.
(2) In the Parties Involved assignment block, she notices who is responsible for this campaign.
Now Donna has found the information that she needs, and can continue with her work.
(3) She clicks Back to return to the search page for campaigns.

9 Starting The Search Page For Contacts

Donna searches for a new contact at Best4You, whom she wants to contact about the
campaign. The contact is David OHara, a marketing manager at Best4You.

-> Under Accounts & Products, she chooses the entry Contacts.

In the search criteria, Donna types some details about the marketing manager.
(1) In the fields Last Name and First Name, she types OHara and David.
(2) She starts the search and clicks Search.
(3) David OHara is not listed as a contact. Donna decides to enter some details.
(4) In the result list, Donna clicks New.
(5) Alternatively, Donna can create a new contact by clicking Contact in the navigation bar.

11 Entering Details

Next, Donna types details about David OHara.


(1) In the General Data assignment block, she enters his personal details.
(2) In the Work assignment block, she enters the company data, such as his function, and
department.
(3) She clicks Back to return to the overview page and save her data.

12 Saving Details And Inserting Marketing

(1) Donna saves the details, and then decides to add some extra information about David
OHara, which she enters as marketing attributes.
(2) In the Marketing Attributes assignment block, she clicks Edit List.

(1) Donna clicks Insert to add an attribute.


(2) Next she selects the attribute set Spare time, as well as...
(3) ...the attributes Sport and Hobbies.
(4) In the column Value, Donna enters Golf, and Darts, and DIY, and...
(5) ...then clicks Back to return to the overview page.

14 Saving The Assigned Marketing Attributes

(1) After Donna has saved the marketing attributes that she has inserted for David OHara...
(2) ...She goes to her calendar to check her schedule. Donna clicks Calendar.

15 Logging Off

Donnas calendar is displayed, and she checks her appointments for the rest of the day.
(1) Donna notices that she has a meeting with a customer at 10:00 AM, and she needs to get
going if shes not going to be late.
(2) To finish, Donna clicks Log Off.
