Meeting in conference room at hotel in north Louisiana later in the afternoon with the team
leader who is in charge of all negotiators hired to acquire drilling rights for the exploration
company to develop what was, at the time, the largest gas field onshore in the United States
when horizontal drilling and fracturing technology was in its infancy.
10
11
Team Leader: Ok hotshot here you go. I have prepared the oil, gas and mineral lease for
12
Rambo to sign provided he does not blow your head off. I have also prepared a sight draft for
13
14
The client is worried for your safety and has required me to furnish you with a Kevlar vest to
15
wear beneath your jacket. If he decides to make it a head shot it has been nice knowing you.
16
Liability is more of a concern to the client as they request you sign this waiver to state you have
17
been informed and have full knowledge of the risks involved by contacting this individual and
18
are fully aware as you have been informed of the hostile actions, threats and statements made
19
by the individual and acknowledge he has exhibited homicidal tendencies and you have
20
willingly offered to negotiate the contract on behalf of the client. Further you state that it is
21
your decision to make the effort to contact, negotiate and acquire the drilling rights from this
22
individual and you indemnify, hold harmless and waive any cause of action against the client as
23
this was a decision made by you realizing the risks involved waiving all liabilities as you made
24
this decision by your own free will and not under undue duress or coercion by the client should
25
26
27
Cracky Boy: Give me a pen and consider me or my estate as any other totally without recourse,
28
threat and this waiver as the best life liability insurance policy without premiums payments
29
coming into play there possibly could be. There you go and I suggest getting two people to
30
witness my signature and have my signature notarized since as required to place of public
31
32
33
34
Now that we have addressed that issue I firmly believe that knowledge is power and I need all
35
documentation of the facts in regard as to how Rambo here acquired all of his property and/or
36
mineral interests and anything and everything about him starting with his family and childhood
37
to present in order to know how to read this guy. You said he inherited the drillsite from his
38
aunt. I want a copy of her Last Will and Testament so I can see what he inherited and any and
39
all files and/or reports of the surface and mineral rights of the drill site acreage as well as
40
anything else he may own or did own and sold reserving minerals of other lands he inherited
41
42
43
Team Leader: No problem and kudos to you as I am surprised I did not think of that myself.
44
Give me a few minutes to put my hands on everything. Ok big boy there you go. Everything
45
you need.
46
47
Cracky Boy: Not really! What do we know about this person who is not exactly the picture of
48
mental health? I can see by the inventory of the assets in his aunts estate file and her Will that
49
he did not come from trailer trash. This bitch was so loaded she had enough cash to burn a wet
50
mule.
51
52
Team Leader: Not much at all since the pipeline crew was shot at being the first to come into
53
contact with Rambo who lives deep behind the Pine Curtain in total seclusion. Locals told us he
54
has a cabin about a quarter of a mile from the public gravel road where his mail box is located
55
so even the mail carrier has no direct contact with him. Locals say he is crazy as bat shit and he
56
did come from a prominent family all now dead. Closest neighbor is three miles away and
57
could not pick Rambo out of a police lineup. That may be a good thing for him if you dont
58
59
60
I came across his army discharge records filed in the courthouse. Seems Rambo here graduated
61
with honors from West Point in 1969 and was commissioned as an officer as a First Lieutenant
62
served one tour of duty in Vietnam for four years. He was wounded twice and awarded the
63
silver star and somehow got a Section 8 discharge. Seems by this he snapped over there. I
64
65
66
67
68
Cracky Boy: I can only hope it was too much killing others and those being killed closest to him
69
while there. There is the possibility he was a highly educated individual, trained, educated and
70
groomed to be a one to climb the ladder in a lifetime career for the Department of Defense
71
who was and is in truth and fact a natural born killer and found Vietnam to be the perfect
72
73
74
Team Leader: Well we will know which soon enough. When are you going to see him?
75
76
Cracky Boy: No time like the present. I have all I need and now it is do or die. Wish me luck.
77
78
Team Leader: That goes without saying as your success or failure to succeed in getting the ink
79
determines the longevity of this project. Dont forget he did fire off some warning shots at the
80
pipeline crew to get them to leave. He will most likely will do the same with you. However,
81
keep in mind this time if he fires this time they may not be in the same nature based on what
82
he stated.
83
If you think you are actually being the target of any shots fired GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE
84
IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
85
86
87
Cracky Boy: I may be crazy but I am not stupid. I can get out of trouble as fast as I got into it
88
and I ALWAYS have heat under the seat in the event I find myself in harms way. In the words
89
of Clint Eastwood A man has gotta have an edge. I am out of here. See you when and if I get
90
back.
91
92
Team Leader: Good idea but if you do get in trouble there is no cell signal where you are going
93
so calling 911 for backup is not an option you will have. You will be on your own so as I said, be
94
careful!
95
96
Cracky Boy: I have been in a gun play situation when I was nineteen years old when I caught
97
some thugs burglarizing our family camp house also in the middle of nowhere. They went to
98
jail and I was offered a job with A.T.F. I thanked them for the offer and told them was quite an
99
experience but not something I wanted to do every day. It was a stressful situation I found
100
myself in but you have to keep a cool head and if you cannot do so you are a dead man.
5
101
102
Cracky Boy departs to negotiate leaving the bullet proof vest in his room as suffering from
103
depression he knows any death other than natural causes will be more lucrative to his
104
children as the beneficiaries of his life insurance policy which contains a double indemnity
