ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First of all, we would like to thank ALLAH S.W.T and HIS messenger, Prophet Muhammad
S.A.W. It is because of HIS blessing, it is possible for us to finish this assignment. We had
finally managed to finish up this group project with great enthusiasm and determination. All
the time spent to search and discuss ideas as well as justifying theoretical clues to drive the
output were worth our effort and time, Insya-Allah.
Therefore, we would like to acknowledge with thanks, the individuals who had guided
us in making this project. Firstly, we would like to thanks to our Fundamentals of
Managements lecturer, Mdm Lisza Binti Mohamed Ismail. She had guided us on how to
complete this assignment. Every week in class, she always reminds and gives guideline on
how to search information about this assignment. Then, we would like to thanks to all our
friends who had helped and shared ideas with us. They also gave us supports and advices.
Lastly, we also want to thanks to our parents who always prayed well for us and giving their
time to hear our problem.
We hope our assignment is complete and will be receive. We had used our effort and
acknowledgement to search information and ideas. Hoped our effort was worth it.

INTRODUCTION
As assigned by our lecturer, we need to interview one successful manager of any company.
Praise to Allah, we met one. She is Siti Khadijah Binti Hamzah @ Mohd Noor. She was born
on 11th November 1984. She established a company of selling baby and mommy stuff
named Baby Cute Ariana in 2014. This named taken by her first child that was born.
Based on her story, at first, she started as agent of a drop-shipper by selling mosquito nets
kelambu and mattresses for baby part timely. Eventually, she began to concentrate to
online business full time. She became an agent in a variety of items such as health and
beauty, also baby items for 2 years.
In year 3, she began to buy stuff at wholesale as stock based on customer demands for
service COD (cash on delivery). At first, her capital was RM5000 only and that money totally
from profit as agent.
She also said that, at first, she joined this business just for fun but after seeing the profits,
she started to work hard and Alhamdulillah, this year it almost 6 years she entered this
business.
Currently, she has almost 150 agents all over Malaysia. She said that, she wants to help
other people that need second job as these days it hard to get money and survive.
All her agents will place their order and after she takes note, she and her staff will start the
packaging process. She posted all the orders from her home as the delivery operator will
come to pick up every day. She adds more, her future plan is to open her own shop.

DEFINITION OF MANAGER
Manger is someone who works with and through other people, by coordinating their work
activities in order to achieve organizational goals.
DEFINITION OF MANAGEMENT
Management can be describes as a process of coordinating or organizes work activities so
that they will complete efficiently and effectively with and through other people.
DEFINITION OF ORGANIZATION
Organization can be describes as a deliberate arrangement of people to accomplish some
specific purpose

CLASSIFICATION OF MANAGER IN ORGANIZATION


Manager can be classified into three (3) categories:

Top
Man
age
Middle
r
Manager
First Line Manager
Non-managerial Employees
In this company, top manager is Mrs Siti Khadijah, as she is the one who handle and
manage the company. She also the person who set the goals and direction of the company.

MANAGEMENT FUNCTION
Management function can be classified into:
1) Planning where it includes defining and setting goals, establishing strategy, and
developing plans to coordinates activities.
2) Organizing where it includes arranging work to accomplish organizational goal
3) Leading which includes activities such as motivating worker, influence individuals or
work teams, deal with any employees behaviour issues and also help to resolve any
conflict occur among employees.
4) Controlling where it includes monitoring activities in order to make sure they are
accomplished as planned, comparing work activities and correcting work
performance.

MANAGEMENT ROLES
Management roles can be classified into three (3) types:
1) Interpersonal Roles
a. Figurehead
Manager serves as official representative of the organization such as in Baby
Cute Ariana, the representative the organization is Mdm Siti Khadijah .
b. Leader
Manager guides and motivate staff and acts as positive influence in the work
place. As the owner of the company, Madam Siti provides guide and coaching to
all her new agents especially those who do not know about drop-shipper concept.
c. Liaison
Managers interact with peers and with people outside the organization to gain
information. For example, Mdm Siti Khadjah always makes a survey to know the
needs of customer such as parents to be to welcome their newborn baby.
2) Informational Roles
a. Monitor
Manager receives and collects information internal and external source,
b. Disseminator
Manager distribute information outside the company
c. Spokesperson
Manager distributes information within the organization she needs to through
meeting or phone call with outsider and employee.
3) Decisional Roles
a. Entrepreneur
Responsible to searches environment opportunities and initiate project that will
bring improve organization. Mdm Siti always trying to find new supplier
b. Disturbance handler
Manager decide how conflict between subordinates should be resolved and steps
in when subordinates suddenly leaves or an important customer lost so Mdm. Siti
Khadijah need to reorganized strategy and make a post mortem to solve any
disturbances and crisis.

c. Resources allocator
Responsible to allocate organizational so she need decide how to organization
performing activities involved budgeting.
d. Negotiator- Responsible for presenting the company so Mdm. Siti Khadijah needs
to negotiate with her supplier so that she can discount and low price for supplier.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Management skills can be divided into three (3) types which are:
1. Technical skills
Technical skill is the specific abilities that people use to perform their jobs. Operating a word
processing program, designing a brochure and training people to use a new budgeting
system are all technical skills.
2. Human Skills
Human relation skills are those managers need to understand and work well with people.
They include an understanding of effective leardership, communication,and motivation.
Interviewing job applicants, forming partnership with other organization, and resolving
conflicts all require good humans relations skills.
3. Conceptual Skills
Conceptual skills are those that help managers understand and analyze complex situation
and how different parts of an organising relate to one another and to the organization as a
whole. Decision making, planning, and organizing are managerial activities that

require

conceptual skills.

This company, Top Manager, Mdm.Siti Khadijah many use conceptual skill because she is
the owner of the company. She needs a lot of thinking about the future of this company. She
also needs to make a decision in case of any problems in his company.

DECISION MAKING
DEFINITION
Decision is a choice from two (2) or more alternative course of action. A decision making is a
process which begins with identification of a problem and ends with evaluation of
implemented solutions.

DECISION MAKING CONDITIONS


In making decision, there are 3 conditions to follow:
1. Certainty
A situation in which a manager can make an accurate decision because the
outcome of every alternative choice is known
2. Risk
A situation in which the manager is able to estimate the likelihood or
probability of outcomes that result from the choice of particular alternatives
3. Uncertainty
Limited information prevents estimation of outcomes probabilities for
alternatives associated with the problem and may force managers to rely on
intuition, hunches and gut feelings.
The most challenging when making decision making and how the manager manages
overcome the problem is when the owner need to identification of a problem , they have a
lot of problem such as the place is not strategic and suitable to sold out the things another
problem is Mdm Siti Khadijah has a lack of workers to help her in the company, the problem
that the manager has face is difficult to find the good supplier that can give company the
lowest than market price the selection of an alternative is the higher demand from
customer .another problem that is very difficult to solve it is the the problem of sending the
product follow the schedule so Mdm Siti Khadijah get complain from customers ,marketing
department not take serious about their advertisement to promote the company business .
To solve the problem, Mdm Siti Khadijah needs to rent a building then higher more
worker to helping the company, negotiator with supplier that can give reasonable price and
make promotion every end of the year or end of the month, Mdm Siti Khadijah can give a
voucher to a customers who have buy above RM100, after that marketing department needs
to promote the sale and the company to get more attention from customer and higher profit .

DEFINITION OF PLANNING
Planning is a primary managerial activity that involves defining the organizations
goals, establishing an overall strategy for achieving those goals and developing plans for
organizational work activities.
DEFINITION OF PLAN
Plan is the document that outlines how goals are going to be met, it describes how
resources are to be allocated and schedules.

- Mrs Siti provide all the information required by the customer to meet the needs
and demands of customers.
Want to have a famous store
- Mrs Siti wanted to have a famous store that people know about her brand like
Anakku, Baby Centre, and else.

How to achieve their goals?


Open their new branches
- Introduce their items to the customer and find new stuff that can manage their
branches.
Give discount to special dates and their regular customers
- To maintain their reputation to customer and make their brand more
recognizable.
Add more items to sell to the customer
- If she add more variety of things that she sell, people will attract to buy more
items with her.

CONCLUSION
What we can conclude from this assignment is, firstly, everyone can be a successful person.
We just need to be committed, diligent and work hard to achieve it
Secondly, we should never afraid in making mistakes as it will become an experience in the
future so that we will never repeat it again.
Thirdly, be a responsible person. You need to take care of your staff and most importantly is
your own company.
Forth, even if a person maybe nobody but if he/she make effort to improve their selves, one
day he/she will become a somebody in other word, from zero to hero.
