 Bestowed Prophethood when he began receiving revelation at 40,
the first verse ….
‫ا ِهَّللال ْس َم ٰـ ِب ا ِهَّللال ِب ِبي‬ ‫ِب ْس ِبي ِهَّللا ِب‬
[96.1] ‫ي َ َ َي‬ َ ِ ‫ْقا َس ْقي ِ ْقا‬
‫يز ِّب َ ي اَّل ِر‬
Iqra’ bismi rabbikallazee khalaq,-
Read with the name of your Lord who created
(everything),
Bacalah dengan (menyebut) nama Tuhanmu Yang menciptakan,

[96.2] ‫َ َ َي ْق ِا ْق َ اَ ي ِ ْق ي َ َ ٍي‬
Khalaqal-insaana min alaq.
He created man from a clot of blood.
Dia telah menciptakan manusia dari segumpal darah.

[96.3] ‫ْقا َس ْقي َ َز ُّب َ ي ْقاَ ْق َس ُي‬

Iqra’ wa Rabbukal-Akram,-
Read, and your Lord is the most gracious,
Bacalah, dan Tuhanmulah Yang Maha Pemurah,

[96.4] ‫اَّل ِر ي َ َّل َ ي ِ ْقا َ َ ِي‬

Allazee allama bil-Qalam,-
who imparted knowledge by means of the pen.

Allamal-insaana maa lam-ya’lam.
He taught man what he did not know.

Yaaa’ayyuhan-naasu innaa khalaqnaakum-min-zakarinw-wa’unsaa wa
ja’alnaakum shu’oubanw-wa qabaaa’ila lita’aarafou. Inna akra-makum indaLLaahi
atqaakum. InnaLLaaha aleemun Khabeer.
O mankind, We have created you Hai manusia, sesungguhnya Kami
from a male and a female, and menciptakan kamu dari seorang laki-laki
dan seorang perempuan dan menjadikan
made you into races and tribes, so
kamu berbangsa-bangsa dan bersuku-suku
that you may identify one another. supaya kamu saling kenal mengenal.
Surely the noblest of you, in Allah‘s Sesungguhnya orang yang paling mulia di
