I. Business blue print document


This document provides the details of the business requirements and defines how
the processes, procedures and organizational structure of business need to be
represented in SAP. See the pictures as below:

Business blue print document contains three main components (three
workshops):
+ Organizational Structure Workshop: is conducted to discuss how the
organizational structure of the company needs to be represented in SAP. The units
of the company are defined by SAP units. Such as: company code, plant, sales
channel, purchasing group,

+ General Requirement Workshop: is conducted to define the standardization


criteria for the SAP implementation project. There are 3 keys:

Enterprise standards are the key operational standards such as standard of


company balance sheets,
General setting: currency, date
Master data is data often needed to perform SAP day to day transaction.
Such as: material master, stores, MRP,

+ Business Process: focus on identify the business process requirements of the


company. Q&Adb provide the Customer Input (CI) template and various
questionnaires that helps in define the business process requirement. The AS-IS and
TO-BE questions, ex: AS-IS: company need to consume material back flush -> TOBE: enable back flus flag in the material master or BOM

+ Development Requirement (Gap Analysis): After workshops are conducted,


the next part is to compare the requirement with SAP standard. If it not fit, we
define it as gaps. This part names Gaps Analysis To define the development
requirement

II. Development Procedure
Development procedure contains the key components:
Development Task: is the task which treated as deliverables in the project
work plan
Approval Process: define the process that will be used to review and approve
the deliverables

Change Procedures: define the procedure need to follow if there is any


change required in the development designs after they are approved
Development standards: define the standard to be followed while in
development, these include naming conversion, styles for user interface, life
usage standards
Documentation: defines the types of documents that will be required from the
developers, such as requirement documents and technical specification
documents
SAP provide a service called SAP FEASIBILITY CHECK to find out the functional risks
and technical feasibility of blueprint. From that, it will define the risk management
