To pronounce correctly the combinations al [l], ew [ju:], ind/ild [ai]
To use disjunctive questions
To use correctly cardinal and ordinal numbers
To know the months of the year and the days of the week
III. Lesson steps
1. Organizational moment Asking specific questions about the things around the classroom.

2. Revision of the previous lesson

Johns lives in a comfortable room. His room looks nice. He has a table with chairs in
the middle of the room and a comfortable armchair in the corner. He always has

flowers on the table. The bed is at the window. He also has some shelves on the wall
for his books and notebooks and a wardrobe for his clothes. John likes sports. He has a
ball and dumbbells under his bed. He also likes to go to the University on foot. Next to
his bed is a night stand where he has a lamp. On the floor there is an oval green
carpet. On his computer desk he has lots of pencils, pens and colorful sheets of
papers. On each wall he has Bible verses that he learned by heart.

Conjugate the verbs at affirmative, negative and interrogative.

Grammar
The cardinal numbers show how many items in a series.
The teacher write the title on the white/black board, then the numbers from 112 giving their transcriptions.
The teacher uses a set of flash cards that have different pictures with different
objects. Asks the students how many objects are and the students have to
answer using the cardinal numbers.
The teacher goes on writing the numbers from 13-19 on the white board giving
their transcriptions and warning the students where necessary. E.g. thirteen,
fifteen, eighteen
The teacher asks questions such as: How old are you? How many brothers
and/or sisters do they have? How many books did they read this year?
The teacher writes the cardinal numbers by tens: twenty, thirty and so on giving
their transcriptions.
The teacher together with the students start counting using the compound
numbers. Then the teacher asks questions such as: How old is your brother, or
sister, mother or father, grandmother .
The ordinal numbers show the order in a series
The teacher gives the general rule of forming ordinal numbers: THE + cardinal
numbers + th. Exceptions: the first, the second, the third, the fifth, the eighth,
ninth, twelfth, ty teeth
Ex. 8/42 Match the cardinal numbers with the ordinals

Disjunctive questions/ tag questions check information
Use the same tense in the tag just different form positive if the main verb is

5. Feedback
They play a game called oranges: The teacher write on the white board different numbers
according to the numbers of students. Then the teacher says I would like to eat 23 oranges. The
student who has this number has to be careful and immediately to pick a different number
otherwise he or she will be out of the game. The winner is the student whos paying attention most.
6. Homework
Translate the text
