A Miraculous Escape

(Acts 12)
King Herod decided to cause trouble for the new church,
and had Peter thrown into prison, with four squads of
soldiers to guard him.
The disciples prayed unceasingly for Peter. One night
while Peter was asleep, bound with chains and between
two soldiers, an angel appeared to Peter in the prison. The
angel told him, Arise quickly.
Peter got up and the chains fell off his hands. The angel
said to him, Follow me. And Peter followed the angel out
of the prison.
After they had passed the guards, when they came to
the iron gate, it opened for them by itself, allowing them to
walk out of the prison to the street.
Immediately the angel left Peter, and Peter knew that the
Lord had sent His angel to deliver him from the hand of
Herod.
The next day the soldiers looked in the prison for Peter,
but couldnt find him.
