Reunited and it feels so good...
We are truly enjoying having Elizabeth home again with us in
South Africa. She will be staying with us and serving
alongside us all summer until she has to return to Lee
University in the fall. The Grove Level college guys mission
team was a blast. They were quick to share the gospel and
give a testimony anytime we asked. What a shot of
encouragement they were to our family! We still love our UK
interns. Watching them mature is pure joy. We look forward
to Brittnee Slaughter, the GLBC intern's arrival next week.
Come and see that the Lord is good!
Sweetwaters Growth
Our Sweetwaters bible study still is growing steadily. We are excited
that 16 kids will attend the Secret Church conference with us at Hilton
Baptist June 4. They are excited to learn about other world religions
and how to respond to the lost. Teaching this group is a highlight of our
week.
Bringing Sunday
school to students
Every Tuesday, we get a chance
to teach a Bible story to the
grade 6 class of Sibongumbomvu
Combined School. About 27 kids
in that class, now get to
experience a Sunday school
lesson during their school day.
This month we taught on Joseph
and jealousy and Moses stepping
out in faith. Who knew Joseph's
coat of many colors was polka dot
and pink? HA
Elizabeth's Summer
Elizabeth is serving alongside us
all summer. She taught the
story of Daniel and the lions
den her first week here on
house visits. Her second week
she taught the patients the
story of Zacchaeus. She also
helps teach the bible story to
the grade 6 class each Tuesday.
It was great to have her lead
the hand motions to songs as
Triston played on kid's club
days. Pray the Lord really grows
her in her faith this summer
break.
Donuts Anyone?
Jacob had an awesome
midterm break. He got to
take a quick trip to Joburg in
search of Krispy Kreme hot
donuts. They were as good as
he remembers he said. He
also got to try his first
Starbucks coffee. He is not
a fan....He rode his first
rollercoaster in Africa tooTWICE! When he isn't on
break, he is studying for his
midterm finals or playing
flanker for his rugby team.
He has to work those donuts
off somehow...
