of Timber Concession. Under P3AE-UI (the Center for Ecological-Anthropology
Research and Development, Graduate school of Anthropology, University of Indonesia)
and Ford Foundation.
August - October 1991, Researcher for Jakarta's Street Children Research Project,
founded by Child Hope, Philippines and the Indonesian Children Welfare Foundation.
January 1990 - February 1991, Joined Voice of Nature Magazine as a full time
photographer and journalist.
While in Undergraduate school, I worked as a free-lance social research and free-lance
photographer.
Mapping traditional land in Nduaria, Flores with assistance from the East-West Center,
Hawaii. With a team, collected data using Participatory Rural Appraisal, surveyed using
GPS and later post processed with the GIS software. Information from aerial photo and
government development plans were added later. Map was produced to provide local
people information for them to manage and maintain their traditional land. 1994.
Mapping traditional social forestry in Krui, West Lampung, and collected ground cover
information to be analyzed with satellite imagery. 1994.
Comparative study of WWF Kayan Mentarang GIS Lab, Samarinda, discussed GIS
technology, remote sensing analysis methods and the progress of Participatory Mapping.
