3. Main Structure and Principle

3.1 The grinder consists of frame (22), bearing seat (14), disc seat (17), moving disc (13), fixed
disc (14), removable disc cover (15), belt pulley (9) and motor.
3.2 The belt pulley (9) is driven by the motor and drives the moving disc on the shaft (18) to
grind the material between the two discs. The grounded material falls into the bin (20). The
outlet particle size can be adjusted by hand wheel (1).

4. Installation
4.1 The grinder can be handled by manpower.
4.2 The grinder should be installed on the concrete base with 4 foundation bolts M10160, (see
figure 1) and the bolts should be 25mm above the ground.
4.3 It is necessary to connect the grinder with power supply by users through the hole behind the
machine and the grinder should be grounded reliably.

5. Test run, Operation and Maintenance

5.1 Before test run, open the front cover (21) and check the belt. The belt can be adjusted by
hand wheel and turned freely, then close the front cover (21) and check all fasteners,

tightened, if necessary.
5.2 Operation. First remove the plug on the disc cover, loosen the nuts (2) and the hand wheel
(1), check that the two discs shouldnt be close, then lock the nut I, place the plug into
position and feed the material into the grinder, turn on the grinder. The outlet particle size
can be adjusted by turning the hand wheel. Care must be taken that the nuts I, II should be
tightened during operation, switch off the grinder to get out ground material from drop bin
(20). Clear out the grinder if some other samples will be grounded.
5.3 Maintenance
Open the upper case of the grinder; lock out two screws (5), (10) to fill the lubricating oil,
then screw on two screws. Take care that the two screws should not be closer to the bearing
sleeve, otherwise, the bearing sleeve will not moved freely. Cover the upper case. If it is
necessary to replace disc (13), remove three locking screws with the spanner.
