CHAPTERISCOPEDEFINITIONS
===============================
ARTICLE1
1.ThisConventionappliestoallinternationalcarriageofpersons,luggageor
goodsperformedbyaircraftforreward.Itappliesequallytogratuitous
carriagebyaircraftperformedbyanairtransportundertaking.
2.ForthepurposesofthisConventiontheexpression"internationalcarriage"
meansanycarriageinwhich,accordingtothecontractmadebytheparties,the
placeofdepartureandtheplaceofdestination,whetherornottherebea
breakinthecarriageoratranshipment,aresituatedeitherwithinthe
territoriesoftwoHighContractingParties,orwithintheterritoryofa
singleHighContractingParty,ifthereisanagreedstoppingplacewithina
territorysubjecttothesovereignty,suzerainty,mandateorauthorityof
anotherPower,eventhoughthatPowerisnotapartytothisConvention.A
carriagewithoutsuchanagreedstoppingplacebetweenterritoriessubjectto
thesovereignty,suzerainty,mandateorauthorityofthesameHighContracting
PartyisnotdeemedtobeinternationalforthepurposesofthisConvention.
3.Acarriagetobeperformedbyseveralsuccessiveaircarriersisdeemed,for
thepurposesofthisConvention,tobeoneundividedcarriage,ifithasbeen
regardedbythepartiesasasingleoperation,whetherithadbeenagreedupon
undertheformofasinglecontractorofaseriesofcontracts,anditdoes
notloseitsinternationalcharactermerelybecauseonecontractoraseriesof
contractsistobeperformedentirelywithinaterritorysubjecttothe
sovereignty,suzerainty,mandateorauthorityofthesameHighContracting
Party.
ARTICLE2
1.ThisConventionappliestocarriageperformedbytheStateorbylegally
constitutedpublicbodiesprovideditfallswithintheconditionslaiddownin
Article1.
2.ThisConventiondoesnotapplytocarriageperformedunderthetermsofany
internationalpostalConvention.
CHAPTERIIDOCUMENTSOFCARRIAGE

ARTICLE3
1.Forthecarriageofpassengersthecarriermustdeliverapassengerticket
whichshallcontainthefollowingparticulars:
(a)theplaceanddateofissue;

(b)theplaceofdepartureandofdestination;
(c)theagreedstoppingplaces,providedthatthecarriermayreservetheright
toalterthestoppingplacesincaseofnecessity,andthatifheexercises
thatright,thealterationshallnothavetheeffectofdeprivingthecarriage
ofitsinternationalcharacter;
(d)thenameandaddressofthecarrierorcarriers;
(e)astatementthatthecarriageissubjecttotherulesrelatingtoliability
establishedbythisConvention.
2.Theabsence,irregularityorlossofthepassengerticketdoesnotaffect
theexistenceorthevalidityofthecontractofcarriage,whichshallnonethe
lessbesubjecttotherulesofthisConvention.Nevertheless,ifthecarrier
acceptsapassengerwithoutapassengertickethavingbeendeliveredheshall
notbeentitledtoavailhimselfofthoseprovisionsofthisConventionwhich
excludeorlimithisliability.
SECTIONIILUGGAGETICKET

ARTICLE4
1.Forthecarriageofluggage,otherthansmallpersonalobjectsofwhichthe
passengertakeschargehimself,thecarriermustdeliveraluggageticket.
2.Theluggageticketshallbemadeoutinduplicate,onepartforthe
passengerandtheotherpartforthecarrier.
3.Theluggageticketshallcontainthefollowingparticulars:
(a)theplaceanddateofissue;
(b)theplaceofdepartureandofdestination;
(c)thenameandaddressofthecarrierorcarriers;
(d)thenumberofthepassengerticket;
(e)astatementthatdeliveryoftheluggagewillbemadetothebearerofthe
luggageticket;
(f)thenumberandweightofthepackages;
(g)theamountofthevaluedeclaredinaccordancewithArticle22(2);
(h)astatementthatthecarriageissubjecttotherulesrelatingtoliability
establishedbythisConvention.
4.Theabsence,irregularityorlossoftheluggageticketdoesnotaffectthe
existenceorthevalidityofthecontractofcarriage,whichshallnonethe
lessbesubjecttotherulesofthisConvention.Nevertheless,ifthecarrier
acceptsluggagewithoutaluggagetickethavingbeendelivered,orifthe
luggageticketdoesnotcontaintheparticularssetoutat(d),(f)and(h)
above,thecarriershallnotbeentitledtoavailhimselfofthoseprovisions
oftheConventionwhichexcludeorlimithisliability.

ARTICLE5
1.Everycarrierofgoodshastherighttorequiretheconsignortomakeout
andhandovertohimadocumentcalledan"airconsignmentnote";every
consignorhastherighttorequirethecarriertoacceptthisdocument.
2.Theabsence,irregularityorlossofthisdocumentdoesnotaffectthe
existenceorthevalidityofthecontractofcarriagewhichshall,subjectto
theprovisionsofArticle9,benonethelessgovernedbytherulesofthis
Convention.
ARTICLE6
1.Theairconsignmentnoteshallbemadeoutbytheconsignorinthree
originalpartsandbehandedoverwiththegoods.
2.Thefirstpartshallbemarked"forthecarrier,"andshallbesignedbythe
consignor.Thesecondpartshallbemarked"fortheconsignee";itshallbe
signedbytheconsignorandbythecarrierandshallaccompanythegoods.The
thirdpartshallbesignedbythecarrierandhandedbyhimtotheconsignor
afterthegoodshavebeenaccepted.
3.Thecarriershallsignonacceptanceofthegoods.
4.Thesignatureofthecarriermaybestamped;thatoftheconsignormaybe
printedorstamped.
5.If,attherequestoftheconsignor,thecarriermakesouttheair
consignmentnote,heshallbedeemed,subjecttoprooftothecontrary,tohave
donesoonbehalfoftheconsignor.
ARTICLE7
Thecarrierofgoodshastherighttorequiretheconsignortomakeout
separateconsignmentnoteswhenthereismorethanonepackage.
ARTICLE8
Theairconsignmentnoteshallcontainthefollowingparticulars:
(a)theplaceanddateofitsexecution;
(b)theplaceofdepartureandofdestination;
(c)theagreedstoppingplaces,providedthatthecarriermayreservetheright
toalterthestoppingplacesincaseofnecessity,andthatifheexercises
thatrightthealterationshallnothavetheeffectofdeprivingthecarriage
ofitsinternationalcharacter;
(d)thenameandaddressoftheconsignor;
(e)thenameandaddressofthefirstcarrier;
(f)thenameandaddressoftheconsignee,ifthecasesorequires;
(g)thenatureofthegoods;

(h)thenumberofthepackages,themethodofpackingandtheparticularmarks
ornumbersuponthem;
(i)theweight,thequantityandthevolumeordimensionsofthegoods;
(j)theapparentconditionofthegoodsandofthepacking;
(k)thefreight,ifithasbeenagreedupon,thedateandplaceofpayment,and
thepersonwhoistopayit;
(l)ifthegoodsaresentforpaymentondelivery,thepriceofthegoods,and,
ifthecasesorequires,theamountoftheexpensesincurred;
(m)theamountofthevaluedeclaredinaccordancewithArticle22(2);
(n)thenumberofpartsoftheairconsignmentnote;
(o)thedocumentshandedtothecarriertoaccompanytheairconsignmentnote;
(p)thetimefixedforthecompletionofthecarriageandabriefnoteofthe
routetobefollowed,ifthesemattershavebeenagreedupon;
(q)astatementthatthecarriageissubjecttotherulesrelatingtoliability
establishedbythisConvention.
ARTICLE9
Ifthecarrieracceptsgoodswithoutanairconsignmentnotehavingbeenmade
out,oriftheairconsignmentnotedoesnotcontainalltheparticularsset
outinArticle8(a)to(i)inclusiveand(q),thecarriershallnotbeentitled
toavailhimselfoftheprovisionsofthisConventionwhichexcludeorlimit
hisliability.
ARTICLE10
1.Theconsignorisresponsibleforthecorrectnessoftheparticularsand
statementsrelatingtothegoodswhichheinsertsintheairconsignmentnote.
2.Theconsignorwillbeliableforalldamagesufferedbythecarrierorany
otherpersonbyreasonoftheirregularity,incorrectnessorincompletenessof
thesaidparticularsandstatements.
ARTICLE11
1.Theairconsignmentnoteisprimafacieevidenceoftheconclusionofthe
contract,ofthereceiptofthegoodsandoftheconditionsofcarriage.
2.Thestatementsintheairconsignmentnoterelatingtotheweight,
dimensionsandpackingofthegoods,aswellasthoserelatingtothenumberof
packages,areprimafacieevidenceofthefactsstated;thoserelatingtothe
quantity,volumeandconditionofthegoodsdonotconstituteevidenceagainst
thecarrierexceptsofarastheybothhavebeen,andarestatedintheair
consignmentnotetohavebeen,checkedbyhiminthepresenceoftheconsignor,
orrelatetotheapparentconditionofthegoods.

1.Subjecttohisliabilitytocarryoutallhisobligationsunderthecontract
ofcarriage,theconsignorhastherighttodisposeofthegoodsbywithdrawing
themattheaerodromeofdepartureordestination,orbystoppingtheminthe
courseofthejourneyonanylanding,orbycallingforthemtobedeliveredat
theplaceofdestinationorinthecourseofthejourneytoapersonotherthan
theconsigneenamedintheairconsignmentnote,orbyrequiringthemtobe
returnedtotheaerodromeofdeparture.Hemustnotexercisethisrightof
dispositioninsuchawayastoprejudicethecarrierorotherconsignorsand
hemustrepayanyexpensesoccasionedbytheexerciseofthisright.
2.Ifitisimpossibletocarryouttheordersoftheconsignorthecarrier
mustsoinformhimforthwith.
3.Ifthecarrierobeystheordersoftheconsignorforthedispositionofthe
goodswithoutrequiringtheproductionofthepartoftheairconsignmentnote
deliveredtothelatter,hewillbeliable,withoutprejudicetohisrightof
recoveryfromtheconsignor,foranydamagewhichmaybecausedtherebytoany
personwhoislawfullyinpossessionofthatpartoftheairconsignmentnote.
4.Therightconferredontheconsignorceasesatthemomentwhenthatofthe
consigneebeginsinaccordancewithArticle13.Nevertheless,iftheconsignee
declinestoaccepttheconsignmentnoteorthegoods,orifhecannotbe
communicatedwith,theconsignorresumeshisrightofdisposition.
ARTICLE13
1.ExceptinthecircumstancessetoutintheprecedingArticle,theconsignee
isentitled,onarrivalofthegoodsattheplaceofdestination,torequire
thecarriertohandovertohimtheairconsignmentnoteandtodeliverthe
goodstohim,onpaymentofthechargesdueandoncomplyingwiththe
conditionsofcarriagesetoutintheairconsignmentnote.
2.Unlessitisotherwiseagreed,itisthedutyofthecarriertogivenotice
totheconsigneeassoonasthegoodsarrive.
3.Ifthecarrieradmitsthelossofthegoods,orifthegoodshavenot
arrivedattheexpirationofsevendaysafterthedateonwhichtheyoughtto
havearrived,theconsigneeisentitledtoputintoforceagainstthecarrier
therightswhichflowfromthecontractofcarriage.
ARTICLE14
Theconsignorandtheconsigneecanrespectivelyenforcealltherightsgiven
thembyArticles12and13,eachinhisownname,whetherheisactinginhis
owninterestorintheinterestofanother,providedthathecarriesoutthe
obligationsimposedbythecontract.
ARTICLE15
1.Articles12,13and14donotaffecteithertherelationsoftheconsignor
ortheconsigneewitheachotherorthemutualrelationsofthirdpartieswhose
rightsarederivedeitherfromtheconsignororfromtheconsignee.
2.TheprovisionsofArticles12,13and14canonlybevariedbyexpress
provisionintheairconsignmentnote.

1.Theconsignormustfurnishsuchinformationandattachtotheair
consignmentnotesuchdocumentsasarenecessarytomeettheformalitiesof
customs,octroiorpolicebeforethegoodscanbedeliveredtotheconsignee.
Theconsignorisliabletothecarrierforanydamageoccasionedbythe
absence,insufficiencyorirregularityofanysuchinformationordocuments,
unlessthedamageisduetothefaultofthecarrierorhisagents.
2.Thecarrierisundernoobligationtoenquireintothecorrectnessor
sufficiencyofsuchinformationordocuments.
CHAPTERIIILIABILITYOFTHECARRIER

ARTICLE17
Thecarrierisliablefordamagesustainedintheeventofthedeathor
woundingofapassengeroranyotherbodilyinjurysufferedbyapassenger,if
theaccidentwhichcausedthedamagesosustainedtookplaceonboardthe
aircraftorinthecourseofanyoftheoperationsofembarkingor
disembarking.
ARTICLE18
1.Thecarrierisliablefordamagesustainedintheeventofthedestruction
orlossof,orofdamageto,anyregisteredluggageoranygoods,ifthe
occurrencewhichcausedthedamagesosustainedtookplaceduringthecarriage
byair.
2.Thecarriagebyairwithinthemeaningoftheprecedingparagraphcomprises
theperiodduringwhichtheluggageorgoodsareinchargeofthecarrier,
whetherinanaerodromeoronboardanaircraft,or,inthecaseofalanding
outsideanaerodrome,inanyplacewhatsoever.
3.Theperiodofthecarriagebyairdoesnotextendtoanycarriagebyland,
byseaorbyriverperformedoutsideanaerodrome.If,however,suchacarriage
takesplaceintheperformanceofacontractforcarriagebyair,forthe
purposeofloading,deliveryortransshipment,anydamageispresumed,subject
toprooftothecontrary,tohavebeentheresultofaneventwhichtookplace
duringthecarriagebyair.
ARTICLE19
Thecarrierisliablefordamageoccasionedbydelayinthecarriagebyairof
passengers,luggageorgoods.
ARTICLE20
1.Thecarrierisnotliableifheprovesthatheandhisagentshavetakenall
necessarymeasurestoavoidthedamageorthatitwasimpossibleforhimor
themtotakesuchmeasures.
2.Inthecarriageofgoodsandluggagethecarrierisnotliableifheproves
thatthedamagewasoccasionedbynegligentpilotageornegligenceinthe
handlingoftheaircraftorinnavigationandthat,inallotherrespects,he
andhisagentshavetakenallnecessarymeasurestoavoidthedamage.

ARTICLE21
Ifthecarrierprovesthatthedamagewascausedbyorcontributedtobythe
negligenceoftheinjuredpersontheCourtmay,inaccordancewiththe
provisionsofitsownlaw,exoneratethecarrierwhollyorpartlyfromhis
liability.
ARTICLE22
1.Inthecarriageofpassengerstheliabilityofthecarrierforeach
passengerislimitedtothesumof125,000francs.Where,inaccordancewith
thelawoftheCourtseisedofthecase,damagesmaybeawardedintheformof
periodicalpayments,theequivalentcapitalvalueofthesaidpaymentsshall
notexceed125,000francs.Nevertheless,byspecialcontract,thecarrierand
thepassengermayagreetoahigherlimitofliability.
2.Inthecarriageofregisteredluggageandofgoods,theliabilityofthe
carrierislimitedtoasumof250francsperkilogram,unlesstheconsignor
hasmade,atthetimewhenthepackagewashandedovertothecarrier,a
specialdeclarationofthevalueatdeliveryandhaspaidasupplementarysum
ifthecasesorequires.Inthatcasethecarrierwillbeliabletopayasum
notexceedingthedeclaredsum,unlessheprovesthatthatsumisgreaterthan
theactualvaluetotheconsignoratdelivery.
3.Asregardsobjectsofwhichthepassengertakeschargehimselftheliability
ofthecarrierislimitedto5,000francsperpassenger.
4.ThesumsmentionedaboveshallbedeemedtorefertotheFrenchfranc
consistingof65milligramsgoldofmillesimalfineness900.Thesesumsmay
beconvertedintoanynationalcurrencyinroundfigures.
ARTICLE23
Anyprovisiontendingtorelievethecarrierofliabilityortofixalower
limitthanthatwhichislaiddowninthisConventionshallbenullandvoid,
butthenullityofanysuchprovisiondoesnotinvolvethenullityofthewhole
contract,whichshallremainsubjecttotheprovisionsofthisConvention.
ARTICLE24
1.InthecasescoveredbyArticles18and19anyactionfordamages,however
founded,canonlybebroughtsubjecttotheconditionsandlimitssetoutin
thisConvention.
2.InthecasescoveredbyArticle17theprovisionsoftheprecedingparagraph
alsoapply,withoutprejudicetothequestionsastowhoarethepersonswho
havetherighttobringsuitandwhataretheirrespectiverights.
ARTICLE25
1.Thecarriershallnotbeentitledtoavailhimselfoftheprovisionsofthis
Conventionwhichexcludeorlimithisliability,ifthedamageiscausedbyhis
wilfulmisconductorbysuchdefaultonhispartas,inaccordancewiththelaw
oftheCourtseisedofthecase,isconsideredtobeequivalenttowilful
misconduct.

2.Similarlythecarriershallnotbeentitledtoavailhimselfofthesaid
provisions,ifthedamageiscausedasaforesaidbyanyagentofthecarrier
actingwithinthescopeofhisemployment.
ARTICLE26
1.Receiptbythepersonentitledtodeliveryofluggageorgoodswithout
complaintisprimafacieevidencethatthesamehavebeendeliveredingood
conditionandinaccordancewiththedocumentofcarriage.
2.Inthecaseofdamage,thepersonentitledtodeliverymustcomplaintothe
carrierforthwithafterthediscoveryofthedamage,and,atthelatest,within
threedaysfromthedateofreceiptinthecaseofluggageandsevendaysfrom
thedateofreceiptinthecaseofgoods.Inthecaseofdelaythecomplaint
mustbemadeatthelatestwithinfourteendaysfromthedateonwhichthe
luggageorgoodshavebeenplacedathisdisposal.
3.Everycomplaintmustbemadeinwritinguponthedocumentofcarriageorby
separatenoticeinwritingdespatchedwithinthetimesaforesaid.
4.Failingcomplaintwithinthetimesaforesaid,noactionshalllieagainst
thecarrier,saveinthecaseoffraudonhispart.
ARTICLE27
Inthecaseofthedeathofthepersonliable,anactionfordamagesliesin
accordancewiththetermsofthisConventionagainstthoselegallyrepresenting
hisestate.
ARTICLE28
1.Anactionfordamagesmustbebrought,attheoptionoftheplaintiff,in
theterritoryofoneoftheHighContractingParties,eitherbeforetheCourt
havingjurisdictionwherethecarrierisordinarilyresident,orhashis
principalplaceofbusiness,orhasanestablishmentbywhichthecontracthas
beenmadeorbeforetheCourthavingjurisdictionattheplaceofdestination.
2.QuestionsofprocedureshallbegovernedbythelawoftheCourtseisedof
thecase.
ARTICLE29
1.Therighttodamagesshallbeextinguishedifanactionisnotbrought
withintwoyears,reckonedfromthedateofarrivalatthedestination,orfrom
thedateonwhichtheaircraftoughttohavearrived,orfromthedateonwhich
thecarriagestopped.
2.Themethodofcalculatingtheperiodoflimitationshallbedeterminedby
thelawoftheCourtseisedofthecase.
ARTICLE30
1.Inthecaseofcarriagetobeperformedbyvarioussuccessivecarriersand
fallingwithinthedefinitionsetoutinthethirdparagraphofArticle1,each
carrierwhoacceptspassengers,luggageorgoodsissubjectedtotherulesset

outinthisConvention,andisdeemedtobeoneofthecontractingpartiesto
thecontractofcarriageinsofarasthecontractdealswiththatpartofthe
carriagewhichisperformedunderhissupervision.
2.Inthecaseofcarriageofthisnature,thepassengerorhisrepresentative
cantakeactiononlyagainstthecarrierwhoperformedthecarriageduring
whichtheaccidentorthedelayoccurred,saveinthecasewhere,byexpress
agreement,thefirstcarrierhasassumedliabilityforthewholejourney.
3.Asregardsluggageorgoods,thepassengerorconsignorwillhavearightof
actionagainstthefirstcarrier,andthepassengerorconsigneewhois
entitledtodeliverywillhavearightofactionagainstthelastcarrier,and
further,eachmaytakeactionagainstthecarrierwhoperformedthecarriage
duringwhichthedestruction,loss,damageordelaytookplace.Thesecarriers
willbejointlyandseverallyliabletothepassengerortotheconsignoror
consignee.
CHAPTERIVPROVISIONSRELATINGTOCOMBINEDCARRIAGE
=====================================================
ARTICLE31
1.Inthecaseofcombinedcarriageperformedpartlybyairandpartlybyany
othermodeofcarriage,theprovisionsofthisConventionapplyonlytothe
carriagebyair,providedthatthecarriagebyairfallswithinthetermsof
Article1.
2.NothinginthisConventionshallpreventthepartiesinthecaseofcombined
carriagefrominsertinginthedocumentofaircarriageconditionsrelatingto
othermodesofcarriage,providedthattheprovisionsofthisConventionare
observedasregardsthecarriagebyair.
CHAPTERVGENERALANDFINALPROVISIONS

ARTICLE32
Anyclausecontainedinthecontractandallspecialagreementsenteredinto
beforethedamageoccurredbywhichthepartiespurporttoinfringetherules
laiddownbythisConvention,whetherbydecidingthelawtobeapplied,orby
alteringtherulesastojurisdiction,shallbenullandvoid.Neverthelessfor
thecarriageofgoodsarbitrationclausesareallowed,subjecttothis
Convention,ifthearbitrationistotakeplacewithinoneofthejurisdictions
referredtointhefirstparagraphofArticle28.
ARTICLE33
NothingcontainedinthisConventionshallpreventthecarriereitherfrom
refusingtoenterintoanycontractofcarriage,orfrommakingregulations
whichdonotconflictwiththeprovisionsofthisConvention.
ARTICLE34
ThisConventiondoesnotapplytointernationalcarriagebyairperformedby
wayofexperimentaltrialbyairnavigationundertakingswiththeviewtothe
establishmentofaregularlineofairnavigation,nordoesitapplyto
carriageperformedinextraordinarycircumstancesoutsidethenormalscopeof

anaircarrier'sbusiness.
ARTICLE35
Theexpression"days"whenusedinthisConventionmeanscurrentdaysnot
workingdays.
ARTICLE36
TheConventionisdrawnupinFrenchinasinglecopywhichshallremain
depositedinthearchivesoftheMinistryforForeignAffairsofPolandandof
whichonedulycertifiedcopyshallbesentbythePolishGovernmenttothe
GovernmentofeachoftheHighContractingParties.
ARTICLE37
1.ThisConventionshallberatified.Theinstrumentsofratificationshallbe
depositedinthearchivesoftheMinistryforForeignAffairsofPoland,which
willnotifythedeposittotheGovernmentofeachoftheHighContracting
Parties.
2.AssoonasthisConventionshallhavebeenratifiedbyfiveoftheHigh
ContractingPartiesitshallcomeintoforceasbetweenthemontheninetieth
dayafterthedepositofthefifthratification.Thereafteritshallcomeinto
forcebetweentheHighContractingPartieswhoshallhaveratifiedandtheHigh
ContractingPartywhodepositshisinstrumentofratificationontheninetieth
dayafterthedeposit.
3.ItshallbethedutyoftheGovernmentoftheRepublicofPolandtonotify
totheGovernmentofeachoftheHighContractingPartiesthedateonwhich
thisConventioncomesintoforceaswellasthedateofthedepositofeach
ratification.
ARTICLE38
1.ThisConventionshall,afterithascomeintoforce,remainopenfor
accessionbyanyState.
2.Theaccessionshallbeeffectedbyanotificationaddressedtothe
GovernmentoftheRepublicofPoland,whichwillinformtheGovernmentofeach
oftheHighContractingPartiesthereof.
3.Theaccessionshalltakeeffectasfromtheninetiethdayafterthe
notificationmadetotheGovernmentoftheRepublicofPoland.
ARTICLE39
1.AnyoneoftheHighContractingPartiesmaydenouncethisConventionbya
notificationaddressedtotheGovernmentoftheRepublicofPoland,whichwill
atonceinformtheGovernmentofeachoftheHighContractingParties.
2.Denunciationshalltakeeffectsixmonthsafterthenotificationof
denunciation,andshalloperateonlyasregardsthePartywhoshallhave
proceededtodenunciation.

Conventiondoesnotapplytoalloranyofhiscolonies,protectorates,
territoriesundermandate,oranyotherterritorysubjecttohissovereigntyor
hisauthority,oranyterritoryunderhissuzerainty.
2.AccordinglyanyHighContractingPartymaysubsequentlyaccedeseparatelyin
thenameofalloranyofhiscolonies,protectorates,territoriesunder
mandateoranyotherterritorysubjecttohissovereigntyortohisauthority
oranyterritoryunderhissuzeraintywhichhasbeenthusexcludedbyhis
originaldeclaration.
3.AnyHighContractingPartymaydenouncethisConvention,inaccordancewith
itsprovisions,separatelyorforalloranyofhiscolonies,protectorates,
territoriesundermandateoranyotherterritorysubjecttohissovereigntyor
tohisauthority,oranyotherterritoryunderhissuzerainty.
ARTICLE41
AnyHighContractingPartyshallbeentitlednotearlierthantwoyearsafter
thecomingintoforceofthisConventiontocallfortheassemblingofanew
internationalConferenceinordertoconsideranyimprovementswhichmaybe
madeinthisConvention.TothisendhewillcommunicatewiththeGovernmentof
theFrenchRepublicwhichwilltakethenecessarymeasurestomakepreparations
forsuchConference.
ThisConventiondoneatWarsawonthe12thOctober,1929,shallremainopenfor
signatureuntilthe31stJanuary,1930.
