A paragraphis a group ofabout 6*12 sentencesabout one fopic. Every sentencein a
strongparagraphis about the sametopic. All of the sentencesexplain the writer's main
deo {mostimportant idea) about that topic. When the writor wants to write about a new
main idea.hs / she beginsa new paragraph.
A paragraphcan give information, tell an opinion, explain something, or even tell a short
story.'fhe sentencesare arrangedlogically, so e reader can easily understand what thc
writer wants to say.
