The 2017 XT5 is in fact completely new, with a sophisticated


interpretation of the Cadillac design language. Surfaces flow across
the car more smoothly, while its form is still punctuated by a few crisp
edges. Details such as the grille and bright finishes on the exterior are
new, emphasizing greater depth and refinement.
The interiors design is about precision and ingenuity in modern
craftsmanship. Youre surrounded by real wood, aluminum and carbon
fibre trim. All leather and cloth is cut and sewn by hand. XT5 offers a

Colour helps evoke a reminder of a brands personality. The proprietary Cadillac


colour palette was created to arouse desire and express a dynamic sense of progress,
achievement and luxury.
Accent colours are used sparingly to create depth, energy and emotion. The Cadillac

complementary typefaces to further reinforce our brands personality, aid in

Consistent use of typography helps to increase brand recognition.

Arial and Georgia are the Cadillac alternate typefaces. The clean and simple
design of Arial is the ideal replacement for Cadillac Sans, while the energetic
character of Georgia is well-suited as a substitute for Cadillac Serif. These
versatile typefaces are both standard system fonts and should be used across

The XT5s architecture delivers outstanding second-row


leg (1,003mm 39.5") and knee room. The longer wheelbase
opens up an additional 81mm (3.2") of rear-seat legroom,
as compared to the SRX. Plus, the Adjustable Rear Sliding
Seat easily glides up to 140mm (5.5") forward to permit
more cargo room, and backwards for more passenger
legroom. The rear seats also recline 12 degrees with six
stop positions for even greater passenger comfort.

Depending on the size of the cargo, one or two


sections can be folded down and still accommodate
rear passengers. Or, for optimal flexibility, lay all
three seats completely flat to create up to 1,783 litres
(63 cu. ft.) of cargo room. The middle section folds
down to accommodate larger items for increased
versatility. Individual fold- down releases are
located on top of the rear seat, with new releases
in the cargo area for extra convenience.

Advanced Twin-Clutch All-Wheel Drive System


with Disconnect

The XT5s available all-wheel drive system sets the


pace and exceeds expectations in the luxury crossover
segment. The system delivers exceptional performance
in wet, snowy or icy conditions, and helps keep the vehicle
stable in dry weather. A twin-clutch design allows the
transfer of up to 100 percent of available torque to either
the front or rear axle. Additionally, the electronically
controlled rear differential, in the rear drive unit, can
direct up to 100 percent of available torque to either rear
wheel to improve performance on road surfaces where
theres more water, ice or snow on one side of the road
than the other. The systems disconnect feature can
also disable the rear drive unit, essentially converting
the XT5 to front-wheel drive for improved fuel efficiency
and reduced emissions.
