Acronis Backup and Disaster Recovery

By 2018, the number of organizations using disaster recovery as a service will

exceed the number of organizations using traditional, syndicated recovery
services. - Gartner

Level of service

Cold
Your data is preserved and backed up, and your systems are replicated in the
form of system images (or VMs) and stored locally and/or remotely. Nothing is
loaded onto the recovery servers. When requested, the servers and data are
loaded and started.
Warm
Similar to cold except your servers (VMs) are loaded onto their allocated
hosts and configured. All you need to to is load the data and spin up the
servers. This process in much faster. In both cold and warm recoveries, you
can select data snapshot that you want to load.
Hot
Your redundant environment is up and running in paraller with your primary
environment. Data is constantly synced-up. This can be part of the highavailibility function of mission-critical applocations like Microsoft Exchange or
Active Directory, or it can also be a duplicate copy of your primary
environment (often called active.
