Cliché or fact, PEOPLE drive your organisation? In the digital age we are
faced with social media, lean process, do less with more, drive higher
profits and stay competitive. These key strategies cannot deliver results
without people who are making it happen. Over 50% of the workforce
in Australia alone are currently seeking new opportunities. The flip side to
this ’coin’ is that the majority of people hate change, so why would people be
looking for new opportunities? Analysing this trend, we believe a large percentage of people
leave oganisations due to the lack of engagement and passion for their job. These people are
not always ‘dead wood’ often they are the consistent performers or the leaders of tomorrow. The
reasons for moving can be quantified as a lack of ‘feeling valued’, and or not seeing a long term future
in the organisation. In simple terms they don’t buy into their current organisation and see little purpose in
continuing a day to day application of more of the same.
