The Township of Lyndhurst Project Tomorrow Map Package

(The Redevelopment Study Area. December 22, 2009.)

General Statement
The Township of Lyndhurst Project Tomorrow includes a neighborhood
preservation component and a sustainability program to ensure that Lyndhurst
maintains its standing as a great place to live. The Planning Board of the Township of
Lyndhurst, Bergen County, New Jersey will be conducting a preliminary investigation of
the Project Tomorrow project area-limited to Township owned or commercial property-
and will hold a public hearing on January 13, 2009 at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be heard, at the Municipal Building, 367 Valley Brook Avenue,
Lyndhurst, New Jersey, 07071. Said hearing being conducted pursuant to the New Jersey
Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq. (The LRHL.) The hearing
may be adjourned from time to time in accordance with the procedures of the
Lyndhurst Planning Board.
The purpose of the public hearing is to assist the Lyndhurst Planning Board in its
investigation to determine whether the proposed and potential area, as further
described in this map package, satisfies the LRHL.
The area to be investigated is limited to the following properties in the Township
of Lyndhurst:
Block 13, Lot 1, 10, 11, and 12.
Block 12, Lots 1, 2, and 3.
Block 89, Lots 7, 8, 9, and 10.
The approximate street addresses are: those located in Block 89; 551 Valley
Brook Avenue, 552 Gutheil Place, 281 Ridge Road, 555 Valley Brook Avenue; those
located in Block 13; 316 Second Avenue, 325 New York Avenue, Station Square
(Township of Lyndhurst property); and in Block 12; 300 Second Avenue, and 160
Stuyvesant Avenue. No official street addresses are pertinent to Block 13, Lot 12 and
Block 12, Lot 3.
This map package of the area showing the boundaries of the proposed and
potential redevelopment area and the location of the various parcels of property
included therein has been prepared from the official tax maps of the Township.
The following maps are used to determine the location of the Project Tomorrow
study area. These are also the maps used to provide the general and specific location of
the area in need of redevelopment identified in the resolution adopted by the Lyndhurst
Board of Commissioners on November 10, 2009, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq.
