English in Australia

The Australian dialect originates from England English , considering that this
nation was a former British colony . However, some special words and
phrases , used only in this country , began to appear in the Historical
Dictionary of Australia back in 1898. This particular dialect was called "
Strine " , similar to the pronunciation of the name of the country. There is
also some degree of indigenous influence that comes from the Aboriginal
language . It is said that Australian English has a more nasal sound and
slightly less choppy than English spoken in England.
Australian English considers two main variations : South Australian English
Australian English and Western . The first is divided into three different
dialects : English Adelaide English Eyre and Yorke Peninsula and English
north-south Australia . In particular , Germans and immigrants Cornish left
their mark on the South Australian English . The Western Australian English
has an Australian accent stronger . Some words in the Western Australian
English is pronounced with two syllables instead of just one.
Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere.Because it is south of the equator,
the seasons in Australia are the opposite of those in Europe: its winter in
Australia when its summer in Europe
