MODEC to clarify
PMS reference 6.2.4.1 states that for class 10000 psi
Techlok hub connectors shall be used for all sizes
(mandatory), however SAE flanges are indicated in
P&ID for 10000psi spec (KS spec) for hydraulic and
diesel fuel services.
MODEC to clarify
The material standard for weldolet is considered the
same as that of other fittings (cast products) in the PMS,
However weldolets are forged components and the
material standard shall be same as that of other forged
components (Flanges).

The branch table for A2 and similar specs where smaller
sizes have plain ends, Reducing Tee is considered for 2
header having 1.5 branch. However due to different
types of ends for these 2 sizes, LTV has considered equal
tee with swage arrangement for such branches. The same
issue arises in M spec where components less than 2 are
threaded

MODEC to confirm if pipe material (ASTM A106 Grade

C & A234-WPC) is to considered as HYCS (exotic
material)
In AS spec of PMS pipe material A358-TP316/316L
CL1 is considered TP(Tubular Product), however this
material standard does not have option for TP.

G2, G2N, G2NX, G2W spec pipe (less than 2) are
considered plain end. However fittings for the same size
range are considered as bevel ended.

MODEC to confirm the cases where flanges are
preferred over Hub connectors for 6 and above in 2500#
and above specs.

For piping spec A2L the PMS datasheet denotes socket
welded connections however the branch table 8.3
indicates the use of threaded components for Nitrogen
service.

AT spec of the PMS does not provide the uncompressed
thickness of the gasket.
Request MODEC to provide the same.
Branch Table for Spec F2NX is not mentioned in the
PMS.
MODEC to confirm if table 8.2 can be used for this spec.
In case of HYCS specs (like G2N) flange material upto
1.5 is ASTM A105N (CS) and above 1.5 is ASTM
A694-F65 (HYCS). In case of flangeolets and weldolets
having header size 2 or higher and branch size less than
2, LTV has taken material as ASTM A105N based on
material standard of small bore pipe.
