APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Filipino Citizen or local resident foreigners

Principal Cardholder must be at least 21 years old

Minimum gross annual income must be:


o - Php120,000 for EastWest Practical MasterCard

Must have a residence landline or mobile phone and business landline

Residence or business address must be within Davao del Sur (Davao City, Lanang,
Mandug, Matina, Mintal, Panacan, Sta. Ana, Talomo, Toril, Digos City)

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS:
(For Principal and Supplementary Card Applicants)

Completely filled-out and signed EastWest Credit Card Application Form

Photocopy of (1) valid photo-bearing ID (i.e. Company ID, Driver's License, Passport,
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID, SSS, BIR ID, Voter's ID, etc.)

In addition to the above, please submit any the following:

For expatriates employed in the Top 1,000 corporations, Certificate of Employment


stating salary and tenure are required.

Documents submitted related to the credit card application will be kept by the Bank and not be
returned. Your credit card application will take about 10-15 days to process.
Note: 1st year Annual Membership Fee waiver applies to new-to-bank cardholders only. New-tobank is defined as cardholders who do not have an existing EastWest Credit Card.

Low Monthly Interest Rate
Why pay more? Your EastWest Practical MasterCard offers one of the lowest monthly interest
rates at 3.25% for basic purchases from supermarkets, drugstores and gasoline stations and
3.49% for other purchases.
Light Monthly Payment
You only need to pay the minimum payment due on your payment due date which is only
equivalent to 3.5% of your total statement balance or Php200, whichever is higher. You may also
pay in full or any amount in between your total statement balance and minimum payment due.
Should you opt to pay an amount less than your total statement balance, an interest charge will
be applied.

Cash Advance Service


Fee & Interest Charge

3% of the cash advance amount or Php600, whichever is


higher; and 3.49% interest charge imposed on the cash advance
amount, which shall accrue from the date of availment until
full settlement or payment.

Cash Advance
Over-the-Counter Fee

A fee of P500 will be charged for cash advance transactions


availed over-the-counter at EastWest stores in addition to the
Cash Advance Service Fee and applicable Interest Charge. The
proceeds of the over-the-counter cash advance transaction shall
be net of the Over-the-Counter Fee.

Late Payment Charge

7.50% of the minimum payment due or Php500, whichever is


higher

Over Credit Limit Fee

Php500 will be charged whenever the outstanding balance


exceeds the prescribed credit limit within the billing period.

Returned Check Fee


Retrieval Fee

Php1,000 for every returned check


Php200 for the retrieval of each retail/installment and mailorder/telephone-order charge slip; Php1,250 for the retrieval of
each travel and entertainment charge slip

Card Replacement
Fee

P400 for every card replacement

Foreign Currency
Conversion Fee

Transactions made in foreign currencies/merchants or those


processed by foreign acquirers shall be automatically converted
to Philippine Peso at the MasterCard currency conversion rate
on the day the transaction is processed, plus a Foreign
Currency Conversion Fee of 2.50% which is comprised of the
MasterCard Assessment Fee and EastWest Service Fee.

A 5% service fee shall be charged on gaming/gambling


transactions and/or transactions made at gaming/gambling
Gambling and Gaming Fee establishments, including the placement of wagers, purchase of
lottery tickets or other values in conjunction with any gaming
or gambling activities.
Multiple Payment Fee

Cardholders are allowed a maximum of three (3) payment

transactions in EastWest Accredited Payment Channels posted


within a statement cycle. A P50 fee will be charged for each
EastWest Credit Card posted payment after the 3rd posted
payment transaction. Payments made in EastWest Payment
Channels will not incur any charges.

5% of the remaining principal balance or Php500, whichever is


higher

Closed Card Account


Service Fee

For Closed Card Accounts which have credit balances, the


cardholder shall make the appropriate arrangement with
EastWest to collect the credit balance within three (3) months
from the date when the Card Account is closed. Otherwise,
EastWest shall deduct from such credit balance a monthly
service fee of Php200 to cover for administrative costs incurred
by EastWest in maintaining the cardholder's account.

Minimum Payment
Due Computation

Your Statement of Account shall show your Minimum Payment


Due composed of the following: (a) past due amount; (b) 3.5%
of your total statement balance inclusive of all fees and charges
and monthly installment/s, if any, but exclusive of any unbilled
installment amount; and (c) any amount in excess of your
credit limit. The Minimum Payment Due is the sum of (a), (b)
and (c); or Php200, whichever is higher.

Interest Charge
Computation

At every billing cycle, you have the option to pay the total
statement balance, the minimum payment due, or any amount
in between. An Interest Charge will be imposed should you
choose not to pay the Total Statement Balance on or before the
payment due date as set out in your Statement of Account. The
Interest Charge is based on your Average Daily Balance (ADB)
computed from transaction date for cash advance,
credits/payments
and
retail
transactions/monthly
installments/fees until the next cycle cut-off. Any Interest
Charge due but unpaid shall form part of the principal balance
and will continue to earn Interest Charges.

What are the qualifications for applying for a China Bank Credit Card?

You must be a resident of the Republic of the Philippines

Age requirement:
o Non-Depositors: Between 21 to 65 years of age for Principal; at least 13 years of
age for Supplementary
o China Bank Depositors: Between 21 to 70 years of age for Principal; at least 13
years of age for Supplementary

Gross Annual Income:


o Php 120,000.00 for Prime
o Php 500,000.00 for Platinum
o Php 1,000,000.00 for World

What documentation do I have to provide when applying for a China Bank


MasterCard?
The following documents are required:
1. Fully accomplished and signed China Bank MasterCard application form.
2. Proof of Identification (At least one Valid Photo Bearing Government issued ID
Drivers License, SSS ID, TIN card, Voters ID, Unified Multi-Purpose Card,
Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID, Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID,
Postal ID, Philhealth ID, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance/renewal card,
Firearms License card, Barangay Certification, Passport (Philippine/Foreign), Police
Clearance, Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR), GSIS ID, OWWA ID/OFW ID,
Seamans book, Seniors Citizen card, Certification/ID from National Council for the
Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
3. Proof of Income
a. For Private and Government Employees, submit any of the following:

4. Additional Regulatory Requirement

o For Non-Immigrants and Embassy employees, aside from requirements above the
following documents should also be submitted.

ELIGIBILITY:
