The selection and training of individuals for specific job functions, and charging them with
the associated responsibilities.The process that links the human resource needs of an
organization to its strategic plan to ensure that staffing is sufficient, qualified, and
competent enough to achieve the organization's objectives. HR planning is becoming a vital
organizational element for maintaining a competitive advantage and reducing employee
turnover.

A. Relation to real life situations :


We need to change or leaders or employee once they change their performance, promote, demote
or fire them kick out of the job. That is why we need change for a little bit of good in the organization.
As a leader you need people to work, not people that will just drag you down and help you bring the
company down. And a good type of selection of job is a good choice. Its like choosing more efficient
with low cost. Be smarty sometimes.

B. Does it answer my interest as a student?


Yes, for my future and for the future of others I can help. Change is good, because your
in the flow of life, there is up and down. This lesson help me face the problems that all can
change for good. And about organizing things. This also develop my skills in managing, it
teaches on how real life work looks like how someone could be hire for a job.

C. Provide example and application to my experiences:


We are all leaders taking lead everything, making a change. Leader in a group activity,
one should start up the fire, start up so that you can finish a job well and even more. in our
organization our president start the meeting for agendas. This agendas are planned and well
argue for good outcome of a activity. Sometimes we put someone take in charge for one job,
like making all first year civil engineering do the bulletin, let 2 nd year civil engineering do the
attendance on the event. We first look if one person can make it right, if he/she could do it
well.

D. His pertinent to my interest as a future civil engineer:


Soon when I graduate, as a civil engineer I need to handle people in the work place this
lesson teaches me how to manage and help in working. Dealing with people is a serious
thing, not every person has the same idea, to understand one person is hard. Real life
engineering question to be facing with.

E. Provide better understanding of my role as a student:

Being a student especially a Augustinian student, values must be follow and must be
live out CHARITAS, UNITAS, and VERITAS. Be kind to others, help each other, and be honest.

F. Additional reactions:

It is interesting there is a class about management, new things to learn, new voices to
hear, and new topics to be read.
