The first Dale Carnegie Course in the Philippines was launched in 1952 as a Manila Jaycees Project for
the benefit of its members and the community. The Vice President of Dale Carnegie & Associates, Mr.
John Spindler, was detailed from New York to teach the first four classes of the Dale Carnegie Course
here.
Among the graduates of these first classes, fifteen men were selected to undergo the rigid Instructors
Training. After the intensive training, these men were licensed as Instructors to teach the Dale Carnegie
Course locally.
In order to continue the availability of the course in the Philippines, these men banded together and
formed the Executive Training Institute of the Philippines (ETIOP). To this day, this organization is the
Licensed Sponsor of the Dale Carnegie Training programs in the Philippines. To date, it has produced
over 200,000 Dale Carnegie graduates in the country.
