Rationale
As part of the week-long celebration of UP Education Societys 25 Years of Service, we bring
you the first-ever Hotdog Sandwich Eating Contest in the College of Education. This contest is
a University-Wide event open to all the students of the University of the Philippines. It aims to
bring together students and build good rapport with them.

General Rules:
1. The contest is only open to all bona-fide students of the University of the PhilippinesDiliman.
2. Contestants are to form teams composed of three members each. An option to include
an alternate member is available. Each team will be provided a registration form.
3. A registration fee of 150 pesos will be collected from each team. Registration forms
may be accessed online, but payment must be done in person. A printed registration
form is also available. The registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
4. The registration period begins from November 8, 2014 until the day of the contest
which will be on Nov. 20, 2014.

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT (A Hotdog Sandwich Eating Contest)

Contest Proper Mechanics:

1. Failure to show up on time will serve as grounds for disqualification.
2. In case a regular member of the team is not present, the alternate person (stated in the
registration form) will be allowed to join. Once the Eating Contest begins, however, no
replacement shall be allowed.
3. The contest will start after the Go Signal which will be given by the Head Judge of the
Eating Contest. Each team will be given the same number of Hotdog Sandwiches which they
need to consume the fastest. The first team to finish eating all the Hotdog Sandwich will be
declared as the winner. They should be able to open their mouths to show that there is no
extra food left.
Awarding/Winning:
1. The team who did the fastest on eating all the Hotdog Sandwiches will be declared as
the WHO LET THE DOGS OUT Winners.
2. The Winning team will receive a cash prize of 1,500 pesos. Each member of the
winning team will also receive a certificate.
