Rome is the capital of Italy .The city

is located in the central-western
portion of the Italian Peninsula,
within Lazio (Latium), along the
shores of Tiber river. The Vatican
City is an independent country
geographically located within the
city boundaries of Rome, the only
existing example of a country within
a city: for this reason Rome has
been often defined as capital of two
statesIn the picture you can see the
St. Peter's Basilica, which was built
between 1506 and 1626 and borders
the square to the west. The
cathedral is the largest in the world.
Its interior is decorated with

Sydney (Australia) The Sydney Opera

House

The Sydney Opera House in Sydney,

New South Wales, Australia is one of
the most distinctive and famous
20th-century buildings, and one of
the most famous performing arts
venues in the world. Situated on
Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour,
with parkland to its south and close
to the enormous Sydney Harbour
Bridge, the building and its
surroundings form an iconic
Australian image. To some the
spherical-sectioned shells remind
them of the flotilla of sailboats
commonly cruising there. Tourists mostly with little or no interest in
opera - throng to the building in their
thousands every week purely to see
it. As well as many touring theatre,
ballet, and musical productions the
Opera House is the home of Opera
Australia, the Sydney Theatre
Company and the Sydney
Symphony Orchestra. In the picture

Edinburgh (Scotland) Edinburgh Castle

you can see the building of the

bridge coincided with the
construction of a system of
underground railways in Sydney's
CBD, known today as the City Circle,
and the bridge was designed with
this in mind. The bridge was
designed to carry six lanes of road
traffic, flanked by two railway tracks
and a footpath on each side. Both
sets of rail tracks were linked into
the underground Wynyard railway
station, on the south side of the
bridge, by symmetrical ramps and
tunnels. The eastern-side railway
tracks were used to carry trams from
the north into a terminal within that
station.
Edinburgh (Scotland) Scotland's
most famous castle dominating the
city skyline, there is plenty to see
and do with the perfect balance
between all things traditional and
contemporary. There are World-class
museums and galleries to visit,
excellent shopping to distract you
and some of Scotlands finest
restaurants to tempt your
tastebuds.. In the picture you can
see the Edinburgh Castle is situated
on Castle Rock in the city of
Edinburgh, Scotland. Castle Rock
formed after a volcano erupted over
340 million years ago. The first
castle that existed on the rock was
known as The Castle of the
Maidens. According to legend, the
castle had been a shrine to the Nine
Maidens, one of whom was Morgan
le Fay.

Dubai (United Arab Emirates) The Burj

Khalifa

Dubai (United Arab Emirates) is the

main trading center of the entire
Gulf, has the principal port facilities
of the UAE as well as its busiest
airport, and has several large
commercial enterprises. The UAE
has four other international airports.
Several features of the UAE's
demography are unusual. The
population in 1995 was 15 times
larger than it was in 1965, largely
due to the immigration of male
expatriate workers. Four-fifths of the
UAE's inhabitants are foreign
workers and their dependents. In the
picture you can see the Vertical
City and A Living Wonder, Burj
Khalifa, developed by Dubai-based
Emaar Properties PJSC, is the
worlds tallest building.Rising
gracefully from the desert, Burj
Khalifa honors the city with its
extraordinary union of art,
engineering and meticulous
craftsmanship. At 828 meters
(2,716.5 ft), the 200-storey Burj
Khalifa has over 160 habitable
stories, the most of any building in
the world. The tower was
inaugurated on January 4, 2010, to
coincide with the fourth anniversary
of the Accession Day of His
Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum as the Ruler of
Dubai. Arguably the worlds most
prestigious address, Burj Khalifa is
responsible for a number of worldfirsts. The tower became the worlds
tallest man-made structure just
1,325 days after excavation work
started in January 2004.
