Explanation:
The industry that we would be using for CPM is the three biggest Banks in the
Philippines, namely Metrobank, Banco De Oro (BDO), and Bank of the Philippine
Island (BPI). I come up with eight critical success factors that can help me to
determine which of the three have the highest score Locations (branches),
Services, HR (employees), Organizational Structure (Management), Technology,
Customer Loyalty, Financial Position, and Shares.
The locations (branches) have the highest weight with 0.20 because these
three banks are the biggest banks in the Philippines. Wherever we go, we always
see that there are Metrobank, BDO and BPI everywhere. I gave a rating of 4 for both
Metrobank and BDO, and a rating of 3 for BPI, for the reason that these two banks
(Metrobank and BDO) have more branches than BPI. There are highly accessible
ATMs of both Metrobank and BDO on malls than BPI, in that way, they have an
advantage over its competitors.
The next factor that has a weight with 0.18 is the services because these
three banks cater to serve their customers. Since they are the three top performing
and biggest banks in the Philippines, customers have high expectations when it
comes to their service that is why these banks are concerned on rendering the best
services for their valued customers. I gave a rating of 4 both for Metrobank and BDO
because in terms of their locations, they are highly superior in rendering services; a
rating of 3 is given to BPI.

The next factors are the financial position and the shares with the same
weight of 0.15 because the financial position and shares are one of the things that
investors want to see in a company for them to invest in the business. I gave a
rating of 4 for Metrobank for the financial position and a rating of 3 for both BDO
and BPI because based on what I have searched, Metrobank has the highest net
assets with P669,100,000 compared to BDO with P60,540,628; and BPI with
P136,000,000. Under the shares, I also gave Metrobank a 4 rating while 3 for BDO
and BPI, because Metrobank have the highest shares compared to the other two.
Being the market leader in the banking industry is a certain advantage, Metrobank
over shadows the rest.
The next factor is the organizational structure (management) with a weight of
0.12. I gave a rating of 4 for BDO simply because of the reason that the organization
or management of BDO is headed by the very famous business tycoon, Henry Sy.
We all know that Henry Sy manages a lot of SM malls, in that way, we can see that
he really manages well their company.
The next factor with a weight of 0.08 is the technology. I gave a rating of 3 for
all the banks for the reason that all of them adhere and cater their customers with a
fast and the best service through a state of the art technology.
The next factor is the customer loyalty with a rating of 0.07. I gave a rating of
3 for all the banks simply because all of them have a number of valued customers/
loyal customers.

the last factor with a weight of 0.05 is the HR (employees). I gave

and BDO a rating of 4 for the reason that this HR (employees) factor is
connected or related to locations. If there are a lot of locations, they
more employees or man power that will help them to render the best

At the end, based on the weight and the rating that I provide in the CPM, I
come up with a total score of 3.73 for Metrobank, 3.55 for BDO, and 3.00 for BPI,
which means that for me, Metrobank is the best among the three biggest banks in
the bank industry.
