Tell me about yourself

- Hi, so my name is benedict. I graduated from pamantasan ng lungsod ng maynila

with the degree of BS ECE this April 2015. And fortunately I passed the board
examination this November 2015. I started my first job 10 days after I got the
results of the Board Examination. The first project that was assigned to me was
engaged in conducting site survey for outdoor sites. Before we were deployed, we
undergo trainings like familiarization with sitemaster (anritsu), with compass, for
getting the azimuth angle of the antennas, also the northing that is needed in the
cell site layout. Also we got trained at towertech in tagaytay, for us to become
licensed tower climber. During our first 2 weeks in the project we have seniors who
guide us for familiarization of telecom equipments, BTS, DCDU, ACPDB, FEEDER
CABLE, Fiber optic cable, busbar, battery for backup in a cell site, Jumper cable,
cable ladder, porthole, TVSS. After that, I got assigned to be in charge to conduct
site survey with no senior, that was challenging at first but I got to managed it. In
my team I have 2 riggers. they do the tower works.
Why did you leave your job?
I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I
actually enjoyed going into work each morning. I felt the leadership team was great
as well.
One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job.
As a new employee in the working world, the company offers a great opportunity for
a good entry level position. However, after being there for so many years, I felt I
was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and there
was no room for advancement in the company.
While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I developed while with the
company, I feel my skill set can be better utilized elsewhere, where my capabilities
are more recognized and there is the opportunity for growth.
How did you handle challenges?
Whenever I faced difficult situations, I keep my focus. I thoroughly think on how will
the situation will be solved.
What are your greatest strengths?
My greatest strength is that When im working on a project, I dont want just to meet
deadlines. Rather, I prefer to complete the project well ahead of schedule. I have
this personality that I want to impress always to my boss.

Why should I hire you?

Based on the requirements that is needed in this position, the applicant must be
experienced is GSM/UMTS in building planning, rf optimization, project
implementation, cell site engineering, BTS transmission commissioning and
troubleshooting. With 5 months of experience in telecom industry, I cannot say that
I met all of those requirements. With 5 months of experience I do gain knowledge
about GSM 3g,4g,lte,.. rf optimization like drive testing, walktest. Cell site
engineering. But I am willing to be trained and to put all of my efforts to know all of
those. And use this skills I gained to provide good output for the company.
