Preface
The term Alpha male isnt commonly used in our everyday conversations. Yet as men we
know when we see a man that seems to get it; he knows what he wants, when he wants.
In general, an alpha male is a person who is physically strong, well built and has some
traits that females find beautiful and attractive.
So what does it take for you to become an alpha male?
When I wrote this book I wanted to understand for myself what makes these outliers of
men stand out. I wanted to see what qualities they have that an average male can be able
to develop and become like one of them.
There are many topics and subjects that are discussed in this book that go in great detail
as to what you need to do to change into an Alpha male. Youll cover topics such as
confidence, having a good fashion sense, using humor to your advantage in conversations
and many more. They are all there to help you develop charisma, be charming and
becoming a leader in your everyday life.
The topics are vast and might take some time to understand. But if you continue reading
this book and applying it to your life, soon enough youll be an alpha male yourself.

Chapter 1: Be Confident
Manly men are always confident. When you look at a politician, a singer, or any public
speaker, the one thing that youll notice is that they carry themselves in a way that makes
the audience feel comfortable listening to. Its very natural for people to be attracted to
men that project their confidence.
So what is it about being confident that alpha males have? Lets take an in-depth look at
this characteristic that alpha males have and how you can unlock this character and make
yourself one step closer to becoming an alpha male.
Being confident doesnt mean that youre always cocky in every situation. There are
times when you dont have any idea of a subject. But being quiet and analyzing the
situation in a calm manner; this is what makes an alpha male confident.
If youve ever been in a group setting and were asked to volunteer, youve seen that there
are certain men that volunteer themselves without any hesitation even if the event at hand
may embarrass them. They dont have the feeling of putting their heads down and waiting
until someone raises their hand. They have the confidence that shows that they are manly
enough to overcome the irrelevant emotions and make their presence known in the event.
Having this kind of confidence may seem like it might not happen to you in your daily
lives, but regardless of your age, building your confidence will help you overcome your
fears in any situation and help you develop into becoming an alpha male.

As a matter of fact, there are many ways that you can use daily to build your selfconfidence as an alpha. Here are a few lists of things that you can do in your daily lives:
Smile
The act of smiling is quite amazing at what it can accomplish. When you smile, not only
do you make other people feel happy but you also make yourself feel happy. You raise
your confidence significantly when you smile. It changes your attitude whether you like it

or not. The next time you feel down and depressed, just start smiling and see how it
changes your world. Not only will you start thinking positively, but youll also make
other people feel good just being around you.
Why do you think we get drawn to someone who smiles? Its almost like a magnet. We
cant help it. We get attracted to the person and we just want to enjoy that persons
company. So how does this help in being an alpha male? If you smile every now and
then, youll make yourself feel great and also attract the attention of other people around
you.
Set your goals and ACTUALLY get them done.
Setting a goal and achieving it is an important part of building your confidence. It helps
to define you and give you a sense of accomplishment. The feeling of setting a goal and
seeing to it that its finished boosts your moral and confidence significantly. If you dont
believe me, try to set 5 goals on a notepad and set yourself to finishing them at all cost.
After you finish them, try to see how you feel afterwards. Its a great feeling of
satisfaction. Making sure that you set realistic goals and finishing them will bring you
closer to becoming an alpha male.
Dont show off
No one likes a showoff. And this rule exists from elementary kids to grown adults.
Whenever some is trying to show off, more times than not theyre trying to seek
attention. Similar to how a young child will make loud noises and distractions to get their
parents attention, someone who shows off is usually seeking some form of attention.
If you meet a CEO of a large Forbes company, you wont see them mentioning to your
face how much money theyre making. They are under the impression that youve
already guessed that without even asking. Alpha males dont show off either. Regardless
of the situation, they dont need to show off because they have no need to seek your
attention in a desperate manner.
For you to be an alpha male, you should refrain from showing off excessively. There are
times when you can show off, but theres no need to go as far as showing off how much

money you have, how awesome your car is, or how big your house is to others. Keeping
yourself humble will help you as a man develop towards being an alpha male.
Brush your teeth.
There are some things that go without saying. If your breath is kicking, its about time to
go to the nearest vending machine or retail store and get some mint to get you through the
day. As an alpha male, you always want to have fresh breath when you have
conversations with people. Theres nothing more embarrassing than starting a talk with a
person only to have them excuse themselves only because they cant stand the smell of
what you ate for lunch.
Having that fresh breath builds your confidence by assuring yourself that no matter who
you talk to youll always have a good first image present. Brush your teeth regularly and
youll prevent yourself from any embarrassing situations and help yourself become an
alpha male.
Smiling

Body language is a regular part of our communication as human beings. When you clap,
youre showing respect to another person. When you talk, youre relaying information
from yourself to another human being. When you frown at a child for making a mess,
youre showing your emotions. Using your body is part of our language that we use to
communicate with others.
If you want to be an alpha male, you need to develop a strong fundamental body
language. Things such as looking people in the eye when youre talking to them, sitting
upright with your legs open, not slouching and having an open body language all are part
of having a dominant body language that will help you to become a strong alpha male.
Here are some tips on developing a good body language to help you develop alpha male
characteristics.
Always make eye contact
Making eye contact doesnt mean that you have to stare at a persons eyes for a long
period of time while youre talking to them. This is creepy and will definitely scare the
other person out. To be an alpha male is to know that you arent afraid of looking at
people. Its about having no fear of confronting someone and maintaining eye contact
during your conversation.
As an alpha male, youll want to make constant eye contact to the other party that youre
talking to. Not only does this show confidence in your part, but it also tells the other
person that you are interested in them and have their full attention.
Have a Walking Swagger
The way that you walk should have a certain swagger to it. Having a swagger does not
mean that you walk around with your pants halfway down your legs. What it means is to
walk in long slow strides. Alpha males walk this way because it shows that they are never
in a rush. They are in control. If you want to be an alpha male, you need to be walk in a
way that shows that youre important. People respect you and know that you have a

Good Posture
When you look at most guys, usually youll see how bad their postures are. Why do you

ever since we were kids. Its a natural habit to slouch slightly to counter act gravity and
feel comfortable. When you consider alpha males, they always walk upright with their
chest out showing dominance and making their presence known.
Sit properly
There are many ways that you can sit on a chair. Depending on your preference, there are
ways that you sit that are comfortable for you. Alpha males sit with their legs open and sit
upright. If you do decide to sit with your leg on top of the other, then you should always
have your ankle over the other. Dont put one knee over the other because this will make
you seem feminine. Having your legs wide open makes your presence known to others.

Firm handshakes
When giving a handshake, there are different cultures that have different ways of greeting
each other. Giving a handshake is a lot more than just grabbing someones arm and
moving it up and down loosely. A person can tell a lot about the other male by the form of
their handshake. A strong handshake shows dominance. A weak handshake reveals a lack
of confidence or power. Making sure that your handshakes are always firm will help you
become just like an alpha male.

When a king walks into his courtyard, he doesnt have to state who he is. The simple act

course this is a bit more like the old times in the great kingdoms of England. Theres no
chance of that happening to you in our present day. But what you can do is to make your
presence acknowledged when you enter a room and also while being in a large group of

So what can you do to make your presence known?
A way that you can make your presence known is by how you present yourself. Having a
good appearance will always help to make your presence acknowledged in a group
setting, but it isnt the most important thing. Having a good voice and stating your
questions and points clearly and precisely can change the focus from something all the
way to you completely. Be confident when you talk and dont sound like youre reading
from a textbook. By talking naturally and combining it with a good posture and body
language, youre making yourself become like an alpha male; a king mimic.
How you say what you say
Its isnt enough to simply state what you have in your mind. If you were a king, you
would be held responsible over speaking to a large congregation of your kingdom. Youd
need to express your point of view effectively and also taking note of the crowd that
youre speaking to. Reading the atmosphere of the situation is important when deciding
how youd relay the message to the other party.
As an alpha male, when youre in a situation where you deal with people, you want to
show that you have the know-how of addressing them with any type of news. Knowing
when you need to show comfort and when you need to be firm in your tone; keeping a
balance between these two sides will make you keep your presence known well and also

There are ways that you can use to reinforce your alpha male status that resembles a king.
If you make a bold statement every time you talk to someone, youre not only setting
yourself in a position of one with greatness, but also shows that you have an unwavering
resolve. You are in control of the situation and you are the one that sets the flow of things.
It seems like a selfish way to be but it really isnt. When you set yourself to have high
goals in life, youre not only setting high achievements for yourself, but youre pushing
your limits beyond the average man. As an alpha male, the act of striving for great things
will flow towards other people around you and you will be treated with a lot of respect.
It really all goes back to the way you act. By acting in a way that shows dignity and
pride, you create a sort of distance between you and those that around you. Youre not

Doesn't seem very relevant to the topic but having sense of humor is a great characteristic
that all alpha males. It's not that uncommon to find guys who are funny to have a charm
that attracts a lot of people towards them. Alpha males who have this kind of
characteristic are the ones who people usually come to them and listen to what they have
to say.
When you have humor in your conversations, you make the other person to be excited to
talk to you and having spontaneity inside the conversation. This makes sure that the
conversation will never get boring.
Bring Joy to others
Having a sense of humor also makes you funny. We all love a laugh or two and having
someone who will always guarantee something funny every time we talk to them makes
them more approachable and also makes them desirable towards females.

Having a good fashion sense goes is something that you have to have nowadays. When
you are trying to become an alpha male, you dont want to be wearing clothes that make
you look like youre from the streets or dont have any sense of style. Making that first

also has an effect in your fashion sense. How? If you relieve yourself from stress, be
more confident, and then subconsciously you will make your body match your mental

the way that your fashion sense is as an alpha male.
Stay true to yourself
Everyone has a different personality and style that they prefer to dress up. There are
thousands of styles out there that will help you look and feel comfortable wearing. Alpha
males are not the ultimate form that only has one style of clothing. Just because someone
who looks good wearing Versace doesnt mean that itll work for you. As an alpha male,
you can find clothes that fit your style and make you look dominant with your body

have a few perks in the ladies department. Yes, this is probably what youve been looking
forward to. Its not uncommon to find guys who are just natural when it comes to picking
up girls. If youve ever watched the show How I Met Your Mother, then youd know
about Barney Stinson. It always seems like hes always getting the girls with a simple
corny line that would never work with anyone else. Regardless of the fact that hes
fictional, he resembles what an alpha male would do. Flirt.
Being a flirt doesnt mean that youre a dog thats constantly hunting for women. Flirting
can also be applied when talking to any women. Its a great tension breaker. When youre
conversing with a female, if the conversation is too serious, more than likely they will
tune you out. But if you simply talk to them in a fun and playful way, youll keep the
conversation lively and exciting. As the conversation continues, youll be able to enjoy
yourself and the female will also enjoy talking to you. Its a win-win deal.
Also being a flirtatious person doesnt necessarily mean that youre always looking to get
into a womans pants. Thats not always the case. Being flirtatious with a female can help
you to gain new friends. The term flirting is just another way of saying how to talk to
girls without looking and feeling nervous. As a man, we are obligated to start the
conversations with any woman that we encounter. If you are a shy person, then this may
be a challenge for you.

Alpha males dont have to worry about having the fear of talking to a female. It comes
naturally to them. Women love to have a good time. No matter what age they are. Being

natural habit that we have as humans. But in our modern day, were more civilized than

where you give the gift of laughter, youre more than likely guaranteed some attention
from them. The conversation will begin to be more interesting and youll end up getting
more from the other person.

The more fun you have doing something, the more interested in it you become. When you

communicating with other people in a more joyful manner.

a long lasting memory of the alpha male in their minds. This is very important because
youre slowly but consistently making your impression in people and they in return will

Starting a conversation with something besides your name, age, work, and family is a

making them curious as to how youre going to carry the conversation.

Being a tease is a great way to have fun with the conversation. Asking obvious questions
and following up with a serious comment on how you were just joking is how you can

You start the conversation and leave it first.
As an alpha male, you always want to be in control of the conversation. Being the leader
of the talk is like taking a person on a road trip to a foreign land. Youre the driver and
host of the express train going to the foreign land. When youre almost done talking to
her, you want to leave the conversation first. The last thing you want is for her to say,
Would you look at the time or Ive got to get going. The last thing you want is for all
of your work to go down the drain. Be in control of the conversation and end it on your

Chapter 7: Speak Clearly

To become an alpha male, youre going to need to be an excellent communicator. You

simply cant avoid this. Theres also a reason why I said a good communicator and not a
talker. Being a good talker versus a good communicator are two different things. As a
communicator, you have the skill that isnt learned in the academic setting. In class you
are taught vocabulary, how to deliver, syntax and all the other aspects of talking.
Although these things are essential to the fundamentals of being a good communicator,
they are just stepping stones.
Having a keen observation and awareness is what separates great speakers from the
average person. Prime examples of excellent communicators have existed throughout
history. People such as Dr. Martin Luther King, President Abraham Lincoln and CEO of
Ford Motor Co. Alan Mulally are the perfect examples of people that have great
communicators. These men and many others have followed some principles that have led
them to become who they are today.
Dont Lie
Its something that your parents always tell you not to do. Lie. When you speak the truth,
people will trust you. When people see that you as a leader are credible and worthy of
their trust, then they will do tasks that they would never do if their leader wasnt
trustworthy. Trust is a very fragile, yet strong character to have. Alpha males encompass
this quality to get people to trust them. When you break the trust that youve developed
with others, its very hard for it to be rebuilt back to the way it formerly was.
Be Specific
Always communicate with clarity. Know what you want to say, before you say it. By
being concise and simple with your points, you make things a lot easier for people to
understand. You also save people time. Time is something that is very precious in our
modern day. Wasting someones time is not acceptable and will make them lose their
attention towards you. Your goal as a communicator is to remove all unnecessary
information and bring your conversations to a point by making each word count.
Shut up and listen

Theres a time to talk and theres a time to listen. Knowing when to listen to the people is
an important thing to know when youre communicating. Standing there and talking the
whole time wont help you interact at a more intimate level with your audience. To be a
great communicator and alpha male, you need to understand that theres a time when you
should stop talking, listen and take in what other people have to say.
Ask Questions
To be a good communicator, you must know how to respond with both statements and
questions. The questions that you ask should show the audience confirmation that youve
understood what youve been told. There are times when youll talk to someone and
youll find it irritating when you ask if they understood what you were saying, and all
you get for an answer is uh huh or yea yea. When you are the one that is listening,
you should pay close attention to what the speaker is saying. By asking questions that
repeat points that were told earlier, youll show that you were 1) listening and 2) have a
clear understanding of what was being told.
You should also ask for clarification on some topics that were mentioned. As the speaker,
you can ask questions that ask the listener whether they understood what you were
saying. This way you can pace yourself to the audiences speed, and also make sure that
they follow you through each point that you make.
Alpha males know when to ask these questions when they are talking. This helps them to
stay in control of the conversation and also help them to know what points they need to
speak more clearly for the listener to understand well.
Speak to large audiences as if they were an individual
To be a good communicator means that you wont have the chance to talk to everyone
individually. That would be a waste of time and you would be very exhausted if you
could accomplish this feat. You are going to need to alter your message in such a way that
multiple people will feel as though you were speaking to them directly as only one
person. Knowing how to use this characteristic will significantly help you become a great
speaker and alpha male.

There will also be times when you might need to change the message that youre
communicating to your audience. These situations are rare but they do happen and theres
a possibility that it can turn bad. If your expertise, clarity and methods of communicating
dont quite work well with your audience, then youll need to use other tactics to connect
to them. Skills such as humor, stories, questions and any relevant data will help you to
relate to your audience and bring confidence to yourself and help you come back to being
a good communicator.

Chapter 8: Embrace Failure

Youve heard the old saying, failure is not an option. This phrase is used with people
that have some sort of goal and are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Its a
valiant way of striving to do great things and is well respected among many men to see
someone willing to go to the ends of the universe to reach something. The question is
"can failure BE an option?"
Its not always the case when someone is lucky the first time that the try to accomplish
something. Just like the first time that you tried to learn how to read and write. For those
of us who arent natural savants, it probably took a while for us to fully grasp what the
alphabet was and how words were formed with the combinations of different letters.
Trying to be perfect also means many failures. There are many people that try to become
perfect in everything that they do. Whether it is in your grades in school, the project that
youre assigned at work, or even a business venture that is not popular among people;
everyone wants to be perfect in everything that they do.
Trying all of these things, youve probably faced some type of failure and the pain that
you felt each time you made an attempt to succeed hurt. It sucks. Not only does it suck
when you fail but there are times when other people will think that your failure means
that you have no chance of being successful and will reject you.
The fact that youre failing doesnt mean that its the end of the road for you. If you want
to become an alpha male, youll have to realize that no matter what other people think of

your failures, you shouldnt let them change your momentum (yes, you do in fact have
momentum, even if it seems that youre not going anywhere at the moment).
In our world today, there are many successful men who are the perfect examples of alpha
males that used their multiple failures to help them get to their current position in society.
These men in history had to face large obstacles that led them to put 500% into their work
ethic and have a determination that was as fierce as a dragons roar.
Here are some examples of alpha males that faced large mountains that they had to climb
to get to their position today:
1. Orville and Wilbur Wright: These two brothers had a dream of creating a plane
that would fly into the sky and stay airborne for long periods of time. They didnt
just come up with an idea and role from there. Something that isnt mentioned to
the public is that they had faced a lot of depression in their lives. They also had a
family sickness before they started the bicycle shop. This slowly brought the path
towards their experimentation of flight. When they attempted to make planes that
could fly, they failed several times. Many things went wrong during each flight.
Propellers breaking, wrong weather conditions, and many small issues that kept
on bringing them down. But they never quit. They embraced each failure, took
notes to learn from their mistakes, and continued on until they were able to make

own business. A few years later after many obstacles and hardships, the Honda
Motor Co. was on its way to become the successful business that it is today.
4. Bill Gates: Now as the richest man in the world, its very hard to think of a man
of his caliber landing on this list of successful alpha men that had failures in their
lives. Bill Gates had dropped out of Harvard to start his own business, only to find
it blow up in his face. It isnt heard of today but the first business that he started
together with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen was called Traf-O-Data. It didnt
quite work the way that the wanted it to go, and learning from their failure
brought Bill Gates to build the large empire that is now known as Microsoft.
5. Akio Morita: His name isnt world renown but youve probably used many
products from his company, Sony. His companys first product was a rice cooker
that wasnt a success because it didnt cook rice very well. In fact, it burnt the rice
and was only 100 units were sold. He was able to look over this failure, learn
from it, and use it to create his multi-billion dollar company.
6. Harland David Sanders: Have you ever had the delicious chicken from KFC?
Its all thanks to this man who is better known as Colonel Sanders. Things werent
always as delicious in the beginnings. In fact his secret recipe wasnt accepted the
first time he proposed it. It was rejected over 1000 times before the restaurant was
accepted. Nonetheless he was able to continue forward amidst the rejections.
7. Walt Disney: Its strange to think that the man who found the company that rakes
in billions of dollars each year from movies, merchandise and theme parks around
the world would have any type of failures in his life. Before his company was as
successful as it is today, he was fired from a newspaper editorial position because
he lacked any imagination and didnt have any good ideas. After he left that job,
he began a few businesses that didnt really last long and ended up bankrupting
and blowing up in his face. Despite all of this, he kept pushing on and somehow
was able to find the recipe that led to his company being successful.
8. Albert Einstein: When you think of Albert Einstein, you think of a person that is
a genius to a point where its beyond human. Yet he wasnt always seen in this

light. He wasnt able to talk until the age of four and wasnt able to read until the
age of seven. This made his teachers conclude that he was mentally handicapped,
anti-social and a bit slow. It wasnt long before he was expelled from school and
was refused to be admitted back into the school called Zurich Polytechnic. He
went through many different obstacles in his life that ended up bringing him to
win the Nobel Peace Prize, change the way we look at physics of our world and
also help with the realization that an atomic bomb is possible.
9. Thomas Edison: The man that is known as the creator of the light bulb. During
his early childhood, he was told by his teachers as a child who was too stupid to
learn anything. As an adult it wasnt any different either. He was fired from his
first two jobs for not being productive enough for the job. Later on as an
inventory, he made over 1000 trials that failed in attempt to make a light bulb that
works. It took this many tries before he finally resulted in the design that worked.
10. Oprah Winfrey: Not to forget that having alpha characteristics is not limited to
males, Oprah Winfrey is one of the women that faced many hardships before
achieving their success that they have today. Oprah Winfrey, before becoming one
of TVs most iconic faces had a long and hard road in her life. She had an abusive
childhood and multiple career downfalls that broke her spirit many times. She
also faced a possibility of being fired from her job as a TV reporter all because
she wasnt fit enough for TV.
Small things like that could have brought her down and completely shatter her
dream of becoming a great TV reporter and entrepreneur. Facing those obstacles
helped to shape her mind, body and soul to help her endeavor to become one of
the richest and most successful women in the world.

There are many more men (and women) that had failed miserably before making it in
their careers. This goes to show that perseverance is what it takes to make it in this world.

true, then you should accept defeat and failure because it could be the start of a path of
