REACTION PAPER

(Ballet Philippines- Manila)

It was so magical that let me have goose bumps which touched my feelings.
You could really feel the emotions of the ballerinas sharing touching stories about
common lives. I observed it was more on a Filipino kind of lifestyle. There was scene
where the man and the woman got married and after their marriage, the man left
abroad (or became a seaman) to provide their life a comfort. Unfortunately, the
worst scene was when the man cheated on his wife that saw him together with
another woman. It accidentally happened because she was planning to surprise
him.

I noticed it really touched the feelings of the audience. You could really feel
the pain especially with the solemn song, she was really hurt. And then there was
another part of the show where a ballerina danced to a cultural song, Im not sure,
but I think it was a Chinese song (a Chinese kind of instrument was playing). And
most of all my favorite part was when the male and the female dancer danced to a
modern OPM song (Huling El bimbo) that really caught the attention of the audience
and it was really cool personally and honestly. I loved the show mainly because of
the love everyday life of a Filipino which Filipino which we must be proud of despite
the chaos, because we are Filipinos!
