4th May- Wednesday
We arrived at 10.30 at the airport of Krakow.
The departure for Zawiercie started at 11.00 and we had a meeting at school at about 12.30 with the
families and after we went to the houses
At 17.00 we had to be at school for our first Lego Robots project.
After the project we had a free afternoon
5th May- Thursday
We got up early and went to school for another Lego Robots project
When we finished we went to an all day trip to Zakopane, so we arrived back to Zawiercie at 22.00
6th May- Friday
From 9.00 to 11.30 we were having Lego workshops at school
After we ate at school and then we started our trip to Czestochowa and visiting the Sanctuary of Black
Madonna
At 17.00 we were at a restaurant for the Disco party
7th May- Saturday
We started the Lego workshops at 9.00 and 12.00 when we finished we went to Ogrodzieniec Castle, so
after we saw the castle we had the chance to play at the park.
9th May- Monday
First we had Lego workshops and then trip and conducted tours at Wieliczka and Auschwitz
10th May- Tuesday
After the Lego workshops we went to another all day trip this time at Krakow
11th May- Wednesday
We left Zawiercie at 6.30 to go to the airport

4th May- Wednesday
We have arrived to school in Poland. After that I went to Karolina's house with her mother. In the

afternoon we went to school for workshops. In the evening we had a very delicious dinner with Karolina's
family.
5th May- Thursday
We went to Zakopane for the whole day, it was a beautiful traditional city on the mountains, and I spend a
wonderful day there.
6th May- Friday
In the morning we went to school for lego workshop after that we have lunch. At 12:30 we departed to
Czestochowa, and we visited the Sanctuary of black Madonna and it we had very interesting sightseeing
tour. Later in the afternoon we had party. I spend a funny night.
7th May - Saturday
In the morning we went to school for lego workshops, when we finish we went with our hosted family us
to Ogrodzieniec castle, and then we ate Prazonki a regional dish, and it was delicious. After that we went
to Adrenalina park, and I like these park very much, I had great time there nut I was scared a little bit. In
the afternoon same of the students we went to polish girl house.
8th May - Sunday
In the morning we went to school for lego workshops, and then we had free time with the families, I went
to see a friend of Karolina's to dance show, and after that, me, Karolina and Marina we went to coffee
shop. On noon time we went to restaurant to eat. Later on, in the afternoon we went, to Karolina's aunt. In
the night we went to Ola's house. It was a great day.
9th May- Monday
We visited the salt mine to Wieliczka, and it was very impressive. After that we visited the Oswiecim
concentration camp, it was very shocking experience, but if I have a chance I would like to go their again.
10th May- Tuesday
We went all day trip, to Cracow. Cracow its an old town but its very impressive. In Cracow we visited
the castle wawel, and a beautiful catholic church, and then we went to the mall.
11th May- Wednesday
We went to school very early to departure to the airport. I had wonderful time in Poland, and I will miss
all of the polish girl. I would like to go there again.

Wednesday 4th May
Today was our 1st day in Poland. I was so excited! We were all looking forward to meet our partners
again and their families for the 1st time. We arrived at school at 11:30 am. We all noticed that there was a
playground and a backyard outside the school. We went home with the families and at 5:00 pm we

returned back to school to do Lego Workshops.

Thursday 5th May
Today we did two things. At first, we did Lego Workshops and then we went to Zakopane which is a
resort town at the base of Tatras Mountains. We have enjoyed this trip so much. We had fun all together.
Friday 6th May
In the morning we had Lego Workshops at the Polish school. Then, we went for a departure to
Czestochowa. We really liked it there. We also visited the sanctuary of Black Madonna. There is an
interesting story behind the sanctuarys name. At 7:00 pm we went to a restaurant close to Zawiercie,
where we were living, and there was a disco party. We were dancing, singing and taking photos until
midnight.
Saturday 7th May
After the Lego Workshops, we went to a castle near school. The castle was fantastic! Its huge with many
windows and the view from the top is amazing. When we finished the tour in the castle we were hungry
so all polish families had prepared for us a regional dish called Prazonki to eat. I didnt like it very
much. Then, we went at Adrenalina Park which was such a fascinating experience for us! It was a
climbing park in the forest. We were scared at first but then we really enjoyed ourselves!
Monday 8th May
As usual, we had Lego Workshops in the morning. Then, we went on a trip to the town Wieliczka to go to
a Salt Mine. Our guide told us the story of the Salt Mine. We were lucky to have the chance to go there
because we learned many new things. After that we visited Oswiecim Concentration Camp. We were
shocked. Millions of people died there and thats terrible.
Tuesday 10th May
Today, we did our last Lego Workshops, as we are leaving tomorrow. We finished our project and then we
got on the bus to go to Krakow. Krakow is the most beautiful town Ive ever seen in my life. This trip was
the best we had in Poland. We went for a walk in the town and then we went to the Mall which is really
big! We spent three hours there and we bought everything we needed.
Wednesday 11th May
I cant believe that we are leaving today. We had so nice time here! None of us wants to go back to
Cyprus! We will miss all the girls but we promised that someday we will meet again!

My flight to Poland was very good because I was with my friends and I didnt have any problems on the
plane. We had lots of fun.
4th of May - Wednesday
On Wednesday at noon, which was the first day, I went to Alicias home and I met her mother. Alicias
mother is a very friendly and happy person. In the afternoon I went to Agatas home to meet up with my
friend Thanasis. We went to a Lego workshop and assembled various Lego constructions. After a few

hours we were very tired so we went back to the houses where we were staying and went to sleep.
5th of May - Thursday
On the second day, in the morning, we went to the host school to follow their lessons. As soon as the
lesson finished, we went to the Lego workshop again. Later we went to the bazaar where, apart from the
little shops, we got into a cable car which took us on top of a mountain and we played a game with a giant
slide. It was very exciting and a lot of fun.
6th of May - Friday
On Friday morning we attended the usual Lego workshop. We also went to a church called Black
Madonna of Czestochowa which is a very big Cathedral in the main city. This city used to be the capital
city of Poland.
7th of May - Saturday
On Saturday, we started the day at the Lego workshop. Next, we went to a castle and near the castle was a
rope park where we spent the next few hours having fun. For lunch, we ate potatoes with sausages and
tomato sauce which is one of many traditional dishes of Poland. At night, we went to another hosts house
and played football, had a BBQ and ended the night sitting around the fire laughing and chatting.
8th of May - Sunday
On Sunday we went to the Luna Park where we had an enjoyable time. There were many different rides
which were more exciting compared to the ones in Cyprus. Then we went bowling and of course we
Cypriot students won!
9th of May - Monday
On Monday morning, we woke up and had a delicious breakfast. We then took the bus and went to the
Lego workshop. Later we went to the salt mine which was 300 meters below the ground. I was really
fascinated by the fact that there were museums and chambers underground. Even wedding ceremonies
take place underground. You can also taste water that is so salty you cant swallow, according to old folk
tales. The most memorable part of the day was when we visited Auschwitz. We were able to see and
understand what people, who were taken there, went through. It was an experience which will remain in
our minds forever.

10th of May - Tuesday

Tuesday morning was our last day. We were taken to Krakow where we visited a castle which had the
largest Cathedral. Many kings are buried there and it has the second largest belfry in the world where you
can actually touch the bell with your left hand and make a wish. That day we also went to a Mall which
was 5-6 times larger than the Malls of Cyprus. We ended our night with a party at Zuzas house.
11th of May - Wednesday
On Wednesday, we woke up very early, had a shower and had a quick breakfast. We went to school,
caught the bus and made our way towards the airport. We caught the plane and arrived home in the

afternoon feeling very happy and fulfilled with our week in Poland and the very friendly and hospitable
people.

4/5/2016 - Wednesday
First day at Poland. Krakow is an amazing city. When we arrived to Zawiercie we finally see our partners,
we missed them. We went to our homes and rested for a while. We were exhausted. At 5:30 we came to
the school and for two hours we were working with our lego robots. It was really fun. When we finished
our work with lego robots we all met at a polish restaurant called Bistro we had a great time there. Then
we came back to our homes.
5/5/2016 - Thursday
Today we had to wake up at 6:00 am because we had a trip to Zakopane. It was such a beautiful place. We
saw big mountains around us and many shops with souvenirs. We also saw a place where people could
ski. After we entered to a lift chair and it lifted us to the hill. It was such a beautiful view. When we
arrived to the hill there was a slide and we used it. It was so extreme. Then they took us to the restaurant
and we ate schnitzel they call it Schabowy . It was delicious. After they took us to a place where we
could buy souvenirs. After two hours we came back to the bus and went home. We were exhausted.
6/5/2016 - Friday
Today we visited Black Madonna. It is a place where sick people pray for healing. We entered to a polish
church it was so beautiful. We saw there a statue of Jesus and many beautiful paintings of Mary with
Jesus. Then we visited a museum where we saw many beautiful creations which created years ago. After
we came back to the bus and went home. We rested a while and then we had a disco party. We danced a

lot and had fun. We turned home about 12:00 pm. It was really a great day.
7/5/2016 - Saturday
Today we woke up at 8:00 oclock and started our day with lego robots. It was fun to work again with
lego robots with our partners. After lego robots we visited a castle in city called Ogrodziniec . It was
really a beautiful castle but very old. After the visit in castle our families made us a traditional dish In
Poland called Prazonki. It was very tasty. After food we played in a rope park. It was really scary but
we did it. It was fun. After many hours of real fun we had to go home. It was an incredible day I will
never forget it.
8/5/2016 - Sunday
Today we had a free day with our families. My partners sister had anniversary of her holy communion so
we went to the church. We stayed at church for 1 hour and then we went to a restaurant to eat something.
When we finished eating we went to city called Bobolice and visited a beautiful castle. Then we went
to Mirow and visited another castle. Around the castle we had so beautiful view so we took many
pictures. After we had some delicious ice-cream. We came back home and after 2 hours we met at one of
my friends partner home. We ordered pizza and had fun.
9/5/2016 - Monday
Today we visited a place called Wieliczka it is a salt mine. We were so excited to see a place like this.
We were 200 metres under the ground. It was really exciting. Everything around us was made of salt.
Obviously we licked it to try. It tasted really good :). After Wieliczka we went to a restaurant to eat.
We ate a delicious food but then they gave us a really tasty dessert. It is a traditional dessert made of
cheese. After we had a trip to Auschwitz. It was one of the saddest trips I ever had. When we arrived there
everyone were so scared because we knew what Auschwitz was. When we entered there we stop to talk
and listened to our guide. We entered to a building where we saw many pictures of people who were send
to Auschwitz. Our guide told us that people didnt knew they were going to a place where they will die.
They didnt realize what was going on. Then we entered to a room and saw empty cans. It was Zyklon B
a pesticide which was given to this innocent people. It was killing them. Then they took us to another
room where we could see peoples private things. We saw their glasses, cups, brushes, baggages. We also
entered a big room which was full of peoples shoes. Our guide told us that there all the shoes which they
found after the war. It contained 7 thousand shoes. After we entered to a room where we saw pictures of
children which were send to Auschwitz. Our guide told us that because children were too small to work
they were send straight to death. It was an awful feeling to listen how people suffered there and mainly
children. Then they took us to the building 11 it was called the building of death. There they tortured
innocent people. It was an awful place and really sad. After they took us to the Crematoria it was a place
where they were killing people. Firstly they were using Zyklon B to kill them in the Gas Chambers and
then they were burning them in Crematoria. It was really a sad trip. I will never forget it.
10/5/2016 - Tuesday
Today we had a trip to Krakow. Firstly we visited a big castle called Wawel. We were impressed
because the castle was really big. We entered only in one side of the castle because it was so big and we
havent enough time. We saw the coffins of previous Polish kings. After we went to visit the old town.
Around us we had many restaurants and shops with souvenirs. After a while we went to the Mall and for 3
hours we had shopping. Then turned back home. At night we had a goodbye party at my friends partner
house. It was really cool.

4/5/2016 Wednesday
I arrived in Poland at 10:00 a.m. we picked up our luggage and then we met the polish teachers at the
entrance. We left from the airport. And at 11:30 we were at school with our partners and their families.
When I arrived to house of my partner Wiktoria showed me the house and of course my room, then we
had lunch. At the afternoon I rested for about 2 hours, then me & Wiktoria went to a friend Sylvia whos
her partner was Stavros we spent our time there with other friends until our next meeting at for Lego
robots lesson. At school we collaborate with our partners and other students of the program to find words
relate to a theme. We finished our lesson and weft the school and we arrived home at about 19:30. We had
dinner all together and then I prepared to sleep.
5/5/2016 Thursday
I wake up at 6:10, I ware my clothes, I prepared my backpack and I had breakfast. We left and went to the
school for a trip at 6:50 because the bus was there at 7:00. Our trip was long but it was worth it. We travel
to Zakopane up to the mountains when we reached. We walked through the outside market to fins the
teleferic that would taking us up to see another part of the market. The walk was nice and it was time to
have lunch so we went back and had our lunch in a traditional polish restaurant, the food was delicious.
After lunch it was time to explore the place so our teachers let us walk the market. I was with Wiktoria
and her friends. Wiktoria gave me to try a polish cheese and it was tasty. Finally it was time to leave the
place and go home. We arrived home at 21.15. I was very tired so I decided to go straight to sleep.
6/5/2016 Friday
I wake up at 8:00. At 9:00 we had to be at school for more Lego robots lessons. Every team had to
complete their missions with robots. After lesson we left school and we visited the temple of Black
Madonna. We had a guide to show us the temple inside and outside. The exhibition was interesting. We
left the pace and we went back home to get ready for the disco night. At 19:00 we were in a restaurant
that was the party. The night was nice, we all danced and had fun at the party, teachers at the end of the
party offer us I mean to Cypriot students gifts from Poland. We were all excited.
7/5/2016 Saturday
That day families organized a big picnic at Andreanalina Park and they prepared us a traditional polish
meal that was tasty. We also visit the castle next to the park it was huge for an old castle. We left from
there afternoon. We went home and Wiktoria invited some friends to her house. We had a great time we

also played volley all together. After our guests left we were too tired to join us to other party so we
stayed home and slept earlier.
8/5/2016 Sunday
Fortunately that day we slept a lot because it was free day. Wiktoria called Gosha to organize a walk to
Andrenalina Park. We finally met Gosha and Paris there and we went to the park we get on the slides, it
was awesome. After these all we went back home and had a meal. Then we went to a hotel for bowling
with the most of students. When we finished I left with Wiktoria and we went to an American restaurant
to have a meal, it was nice. The free day was most relaxing.
9/5/2016 Monday
All Cypriot went to the school early to leave for the trip to salt mine and to the shocking Auschwitz
concentration camp. The salt mine was something that was first time saw.
It was the most interesting exhibition in Poland. The next place was the worst place in Poland. The camp
that million people died and tortured there.
We finally left and while we were coming back, we stopped to McDonalds to have a meal. It was a long
day but it worth it.

A day to old town of Krakow we went to a temple. Something that was strange it was large size of the
bell. Then we walked down to the cave of the dragon after we walked through the old town among old
buildings. We explored the place we had a meal and then we walked to the shopping mall to have a great
time for last time in Poland.

After these all I want to thank very much the family of Wiktoria and of course Wiktroria for the help, the
nice food, hospitality and friendship that they offered me and I really appreciate these all. They made me
feel like a member of the family. I will remember these beautiful memories forever.

We arrived in Poland and went straight to their school. The families were waiting for us there. After they
picked us up we had some free time before going to school for the lego digital designer program so some
of us went on a walk to the park. After when it was time to go we went to the school for the lego digital
designer program. When we were done we went to the homes of the families that would host us. I met
Majas entire family and after a couple of hours we went to a restaurant were we met up with half of the
students and we sat down and we talked and ate. After that we all went to our homes and fell asleep.

We went to school so that we would work on the program. When we arrived we went in the lab and
worked on the lego digital designer program. Later we left for Zakopane in which we saw a castle and
learned its rich history. After the trip we went to our houses and went to sleep.

We arrived to school and worked on the lego digital designer program. Later we went to Czestochowa
were we visited the Sanctuary of Black Madonna and a salt mine and we did a lot of sightseeing. Later we
all went to a disco party in which we danced laughed and had a lot of fun. After that we all went to our
houses and fell asleep.

We all went to school and worked on the lego digital designer program and later we left and we all visited
the Ogrodzieniec Castle in which it was beautiful and huge. After we were done sightseeing the castle we
went and all of us ate a traditional dish which its name is Prazonki and it was was delicious. Later we all
went on the Adrenalina Park in which we the most fun in there. At night we had a party at Majas house
and we ordered pizza, we talked and had a good time . Later we all went to sleep.

We all stayed with our families today and almost all of us went to the amusement park and had a lot of
fun and in which we went to a lot of rides and later we went to a restaurant and sat there to eat. Later we
all went home and went to sleep.
9/5/2016 Monday
In the morning we all departured for Wieliczkain which we saw 2 concentration camps and we were very
sad about the ways that the people had to live through in there and for how little time people managed to
survive in there. After we were done looking around we went back home and went to sleep.
10/5/2016 Tuesday
We worked on the lego digital designer program in the morning and then we left for Cracow in which we
visited a castle of great significance to the Polish society. We saw Polands biggest bell at that time. We
saw the richest part of the castle in which the wealthiest people lived in there. Later we all went home and
prepared for the goodbye party in which we all went there and we all ate talked played and had fun. At the
end we all went home and we packed up to get back to Cyprus.

I felt very good about the entire trip to Poland although some parts made me sad like the concentration
camps but on the bright side I had a lot of fun and I am very happy about everything I felt and did in
Poland.
