(ii) S.C. test: primary voltage = 18V, S.C. current on the secondary
side=12.5A,W=60W.
Find the parameters of the equivalent circuit.

8. a) Explain why the rotor of an induction motor rotates in the same direction as the stator
magnetic field. Why the speed of the motor is less than the synchronous speed.
b) A 6-pole, 50 Hz induction motor has no-load speed 980 rpm and full-load speed 960
rpm. Calculate:
i) Synchronous speed
ii) No-load slip
iii) Full-load slip
iv) Frequency of rotor at full-load

9. a) The power in a three-phase circuit is measured by two wattmeters. If the total power is
50kW, power factor being 0.8 leading, what will be the reading of each wattmeter? For
what p.f will one of the wattmeter reading will be zero?

4. Explain the working of an integrator circuit using ideal op-amp.
5. A balanced differential amplifier using a single OP-Amp has a voltage gain of 10. The
resistances connected to the input are R1 each. Determine the formula you may use.
6. An amplifier has a voltage gain of 200.The gain is reduced to 50 when negative feedback is
applied. Determine feedback factor and express the amount of feedback in dB.
