Learning is not attained by chance. It

must be sought for with ardour and
attained to with diligence.

Dear Children
Summer Holidays! These words sound so relaxing and enjoyable. We all look forward
to them. But the arrival of the holidays doesnt mean learning has to stop. Its not
just the time to kick off school shoes and pack up our text books. Its also the time to
add some zest and rejuvenate our selves by doing something creative, exploring new
places, doing interesting summer vacation assignments and projects, thus keeping our
selves engaged in learning and achieve academic success.
Dear Children there are plenty of worthwhile things to do during school holidays.
Here are some ideas to mix quality time with learning:
Watch documentaries on History, National Geographical, TLC and Discovery
channel.
Learn new skills like public speaking, cooking and baking, swimming, playing
musical instruments, drawing, sculpture or pick up new hobbies like photography,
dancing, gardening etc.
Visit museums and places of historical and heritage interest. This will make you
more knowledgeable and leave feeling inspired.
Reconnect with friends, relatives and family members.
Enjoy nature by going for a trek or visiting a nature reserve.
Improve your vocabulary and writing skills.
Create a summer diary; take photos of special days and write about them. It will
become a lovely memory book for you in the future.
Improve your physical health. Take early morning and evening walks with your
parents and enjoy their company.
Use summer break time to rejuvenate before you gear up for the post vacation
session.
