JNPCT BREAKS RECORD

The JNPCT achieved the highest volume in a single month since its inception

The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT) handled its highest ever monthly
throughput in April 2016. The 133,195 teu moved by the terminal, which is owned by the
port authority, surpassed the previous best, 132155 teu, recorded in August 2015.

The April 2016 throughput was 35% higher in comparison to April 2015. Moreover it was

12% higher than the monthly average of last year, suggesting that the terminal will achieve a
record breaking 2016, strengthening its position as the leading terminal with JN Port.

JNPCT is one of the three terminals within JN Port. A fourth terminal is under construction
and is scheduled to open in 2017.
