Match On Action

Match on action is a continuity editing technique, this is when the editor cuts from
one shot to another to show a continued action which matches the first shot. It allows
the audience to follow the audience and helps create a verisimilitude through smooth
transitions between the shots. It is very important to use match on action correctly as
it gives the film a sense of continuity.
