Almost all printing problems are due to not enough free system resources
memory. The files are very memory intensive because they include graphics,
text, and photos. Close all other programs/applications and print directly out
of the Acrobat Reader program, not your Web browser.
Make sure your printer is set to print at 100 percent, print to fit is not
checked and page scaling is set to none. These settings are selected in
the printer setup or printer options.
Mission Furniture
Rather than viewing the plan in your browser, you must save it to your hard
drive. Download the file again, except this time try right-clicking on the red
download button. A menu window will open. Select Save target as or
Save link as to save the file to your hard drive. Once saved, you can open it
up with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

BUILDERS NOTE
A low-budget way to get
clear cedar
If youve tried to buy clear-grade cedar
recently, youve dis-covered that its a
pricey, special-order item. To build this
garden bench with premium stock, you
would spend about $245, enough for
most of us to say uncle. But, for about
one-third of this cost, you can get the
same unblemished look that I did using
readily available knotty-grade cedar
(found at home centers) and working
around the knots when laying out the
parts, as shown right. Of course, youll
need to spend a little time finding the
clearest boards (it took me about 15
minutes), and you may need to buy an
extra board or two for insurance, as I
did. But the savings are significant. My
materials cost about $85, including the
extra boards.
