a period of
various changes. To the large extent system has been stabilised and more or less
successful in removing asymmetry of information as sharing of exposure data of
borrower is facilitated.
2. Banks and other reporting entities are raising frequent questions/seeking guidance on various aspects
of the CRILC. To provide ready reckoner to all the banks and other reporting entities, Guidance Note has
been prepared. Guidance note covers sections like Genesis of CRILC, Reporting Format and Data
Specifications, Hardware and Software, CRILC reporting in XBRL platform, Some Important Dos and
Donts, Commonly observed problems in CRILC-Main and CRILC Main-SMA2/JLF Formation, FAQ
etc.. The CRILC is envisaged to be the repository of exposure of Banks, AFIs, NBFC-SI, NBFC-Factors
and Insurance Companies. However, this guidance note is essentially meant for banks although the word
lender has been used at certain places which are contextual specific.
3. The guidance note is prepared as per the existing guidelines and reporting formats and modules. Once
the proposed changes/additions are implemented, appropriate changes and additions will be done.
4. If approved, we may publish the Guidance Note in the XBRL portal in PDF format, and also
communicate to the banks by a mail.
