Journal of Fatigue
This research was carried out at MITS, India. It involves weldability studies of candidate
materials used in defence and petrochemical plant applications.
I am submitting this manuscript entitled Influence of welding consumables on the Hydrogen
reformer unit structure property relationships of Incoloy 800H and 321 Austenitic Stainless
Steel for publishing in your esteemed Journal of Engineering Failure Analysis.
The innovations of the present research work are:
I. Influence of filler materials on elemental segregation in weld zone is discussed for the
dissimilar weldments at room temperature.
II. Contemplative comparisons of metallurgical as well as metallurgical aspects like HAZ,
Fusion zone, Weld metal with respect to above mentioned welding processes.
III. Contemplative comparisons of metallurgical as well as mechanical aspects like hardness,
tensile, impact toughness, bending strength of weldments with respect to above mentioned
welding processes.
In view to this, the publication of this work in Journal of Fatigue will be valuable.

Thanking you,
Yours Faithfully,
Prof. Sayiram
