The word mnemonics is derived from an ancient Greek word mnemonikos meaning of memory or
relating to memory and is related Mnemosyne, the name of the Goddess of Memory in Greek
mythology. Ancient Greeks and Romans distinguished between two types of memory, natural
memory and artificial memory. Natural memory is inborn and it is the one that everyone uses
automatically and without thinking. Artificial memory, on the other hand, needs to be trained through
practising and learning of different Mnemonics techniques.
Roger Wolcott Sperrys research on Split-Brain and Brain Dominance proved that the human brain
functions as the left brain and the right brain. He received a Nobel Prize in 1981 for his research.
Discover Brain DMIT combines all this scientific research and the data derived from fingerprint scans
with the theory of multiple intelligence which was framed by Prof Howard Gardner, a development
psychologist. The theory of multiple intelligences emphasizes the correlation among abilities.
According to Prof Howard Gardner, human intelligence is divided into eight different types of
intelligences. Each human is born with certain strong intelligences and certain weak ones. Discover
Brain DMIT aims at discovering and enhancing the strong intelligences, and providing remedial
measures for the weaker ones.
The Discover Brain DMIT report is a 41 page profiling the most dominant inborn learning pattern of
individuals/students. It uses Neil Flemings VAK model to identify the different learning styles of
students. VAK stands for Visual Learners, Auditory Learners, and Kinaesthetic Learners respectively.
The report is given by counselors who also give advice regarding the students strong intelligences
and how to enhance them and discuss about the students weak intelligences and how to improve
them. The report is a one-time generated report that is valid for a lifetime.
Psychometric refers to the test of measuring an individuals relevant and present state of strengths
and weaknesses. Psychometric test is based on RIASEC Theory which helps understand whether
one is Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising or Conventional. The test report is
generated when individuals answer 80 objective questions based on their self-analysis and evolution
and it covers:
Mackenzies Theory,
RIASEC Theory,
Career Options.
ABOUT PSYCHOMETRIC
DISCOVER BRAIN PSYCHOMETRIC Test measures an individuals relevant and present state of
strengths and weaknesses as a result of evolution. Every individual is born with 8 Multiple
Intelligences which reflect our inborn strengths and weaknesses. Over a period of time, we acquire
knowledge and intelligence from our surroundings and environment. We enhance certain
intelligences based on our interests and environment and some of our intelligences depreciate as a
result of our disinterest and environment. Environmental factors influence the lives of individuals and
their strengths and weaknesses. How the society, friends, community, family affect the thinking.
Choices of individuals are all reflected by Psychometric Analysis. Psychometric test helps individuals
discover and understand their present distribution of Multiple Intelligences.
