A note from the Pastor:

Greetings Medina FUMC Church Family!
I dont know about you, but I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the interpretations of the Fruit of the Spirit that
have children have offered in worship. And it has been really amazing to watch the Spirit move in the lives of so
many people. You have shared amazing stories with mestories about what happens when you pray for people
you dont particularly care for, stories of how you noticed Jesus on your journey with you, and stories of how
stillness has transformed you.
By the time you read this we will be halfway through our sermon series with just four more fruits to go: kindness/
goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. I hope that you have also been paying attention to the practices that have gone with each fruit: praying (especially for our enemy), noticing Jesus on our journey, stillness,
and building relationships. Practices dont change us, but they allow room in our lives for the Holy Spirit to
shape and transform us to become more and more like Jesus.
Remember that there is a box on the prayer rail for you to share your stories about how the Spirit has been transforming you through these practices. Ive heard some great ones so far and certainly expect to hear more as the
Holy Spirit continues to work in a through the spaces we make for it!
With you, to ensure that No Life is Untouched by Christs Love,
Mary Beth

Medina Student Ministries News:

Hey everyone!
Were in the thick of summer. VBS was great, the Water Day was a blast, we got to serve the Senter family, we had a great turn out
for Soul Surfer, and we had an awesome time serving at RIFA (and the youth were amazing, you should have seen them!). By the
time youre reading this, Gym Day and the Hangout @ the Santaniellos has probably been completed! Were having a great summer
together, and these lead up to Youth Week in Jackson! Contact me if your youth are interested in signing up, itll be a great experience! We are also getting closer and closer to being prepared for the fall and all the exciting things that entails for the youth program
here at Medina FUMC. The Youth Council has been great!

Medina Childrens Ministries News:

Gloria Brien & Jennifer Roland

Gloria and Jennifer teach the 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School class. These ladies are professional educators and
they bring that professionalism to the Sunday school classroom as well. They also bring an immense amount of
love and compassion to the classroom that is felt by the children. Gloria views teaching Sunday school as an
opportunity to serve the Lord and teach our children about Him. She enjoys teaching the children how to look up
Bible verses, sometimes for the first time, and teaching them Bible stories and how to apply Gods word to their
lives. Jennifer teaches because she loves the children and strives to be a positive influence on them. She loves to
learn with the children more about all the amazing stories in the Bible. The kids look forward to Sunday mornings
because Gloria and Jennifer are nice, sweet, and very funny and because Mrs. Gloria does cool experiments and
Mrs. Jennifer plays awesome games. Gloria and Jennifer have a commitment for each child that translates from
their great love of the children and their great love of Christ.

Hello from Nashville! Thank you to each of you who have prayed for me and/or donated to Project Transformation
on my behalf! Ive definitely felt your prayers this first month has been the most exhausting, but absolutely wonderful blessing! The only thing easy about it is realizing that God has placed each of us here and is using us to share
His love with the children we serve. Project Transformation is a fantastic ministry and I am blessed beyond measure
to be here. It didnt take long for me to know that the 30+ summer interns from all over would become my family
away from home. And, Matthews Memorial FUMC is a welcoming, beautiful congregation so ready & willing to
serve their community. I am excited to spend the next year with them, but I miss you & would love to hear from you.
Thank you again for your love & prayers.
Love, Anna Santaniello
