Job Responsibility:
1. Review customer specifications and Interaction with customer to understand the needs and provide the product
design proposals with the delivery schedule.
2.

Pressure Vessel and Heat exchanger design & sizing as per ASME sec VIII Div 1 for various application of gas,
oil, liquids.

3.

Designing of Filtration Element as per required application.

4. Establishing welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification
restrictions, material processes, pre- and post-heating requirements which involve use of complex alloys,
unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post heating requirements.
5. Development, maintenance and evaluation of weld schedules, fixtures for welding. Do the tests to weld all new
products and write the WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) for all new products as per ASME/AWS
specifications.
6. Advanced knowledge of the Welding of ASME base metals, including selecting the welding process, filler
metals, heat treatment, and post-welding NDE.

7. Advanced knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT), including ASME
Sec. V
8. Approving assembly and detail drawings for accuracy, tolerances, Producibility and compliance to applicable
Codes and standards using designing software.
9. Project Cost Estimation, Scheduling and Execution.

10. Well experienced with preparing Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), conducting procedure qualification
(PQR), conducting welder performance qualification (WPQ) tests and maintaining qualification list of welders.
11. On-site inspection of Casting and Fabrication systems at vendors place as per approved QAP.
12. Familiar with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Activities. Assist in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and
help lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) & Control Plans, Kaizen, 7QC tools, Poka Yoke
