There is only one first day of school
1. In order to ensure students that they are in the right classroom,
as a teacher I will stand at my classroom door and check
role/schedules at the door. As they sit in their assigned seat the
board will have the specific class title along with my name.
2. Each student will have their own assigned seat that will remain
their seat for the entire year. I will give students a number and
will match a number on a desk for each of them; this will be my
seating arrangement.
3. Classroom rules will be discussed very first day of class. Each
student will receive a copy of the rules along with a copy
displayed in my classroom. The rules will be bold and bright for
every student to identify and follow.
4. Classroom procedures will take effect immediately. Safety comes
first in a Science lab therefore, I will have a set of procedures my
students will have to follow handy for every student. Lining up
outside my classroom door will be the first procedure to follow
upon entering the classroom.
5. Grading will be clear and easy for students to comprehend their
grade they work for. First day of class, every student will receive
a copy of how much percentage tests/hw/classwork/participation
will account for. Every group project or individual project will
have a rubric to always refer to as a guide.
6. I will introduce myself through a short power point show I will
compose for my students in order for them to get to know a little
about who will be teaching them. In return, I would ask each
student to turn to their lab partner and collect/share 2 fun facts
about them to their classmates. This will give us time to get to
know one another and develop the foundation for a comfortable
learning atmosphere.
7. Students will be treated with respect in my classroom.
Inapproiate behavior or any foul behavior will not be tolerated. I
will speak and present myself with respect as I expect that in
return from my students.
