UsingtheSearchFeature
TheSearchfeatureallowsyoutoexamineseveraldifferentissuesforaspecificsetofcriterion
onanygiventimeframe.TheSearchiscomprisedofthreebasicparts:
Aportfolio,whichisalistofissuesthatyouwishtoexamine
AgroupofParameters,whichwillbeusedtofindapositiveresultinthesearch.
TheResults,whichrepresentthelistofallofthedifferentissuesthathavemetoneor
moreofthecriterionintheParameters.
Onceyouhavetheresultsofyoursearch,youcantakeacloserlookattheissuebyloadinga
barchartoftheissue.
SelectingaPortfolio
ToselectaPortfolioforuseintheSearch,selectthebuttontotherightofthePortfolioareaon
theSearchwindow,orgototheSearchmenuandselectPortfolio.ThisopensthePortfoliolist.
ThePortfoliolistdisplaysthenamesofallPortfoliosthathavebeencreated.
NOTE:ThedefaultPortfolionamed"IssueList"willbetheonlyPortfoliolistedifnoothershave
beencreated.This"IssueList"isaMasterListofallofthedatathatisavailabletoAdvanced
GETviatheDataPathsettings.Theissuelistcannotbeedited,butitcanbeusedintheSearch.

CreatingNewParameterGroups
TomakeanewParametergroupyoucanopentheParameterslistfromthesearchdialogbox
andpresstheNewbutton.AfterpressingtheNewbuttonfromtheParameterslist,theEdit
Parametersdialogboxwillopen.
AddatitlefortheParametersgroupintheTitlearea.Indicatethenumberofbarsthat
shouldbeexaminedduringthesearchintheBarsnumberbox.(Thisshouldnormallystay
at1,sothattheSearchislookingforwhatishappeningrightnowonthelastbar).
IndicatethetimeperiodthatyouwantsearchedinthePeriodbox.
SelectwhichstudiescanbeusedintheSearchfromtheStudiesAvailablelist,andaddto
theParameterslistbypressingtheAddbuttonordoubleclickingonthestudy.Youcan
furthereditthestudiesbyhighlightingtheselectedstudyandselectingedit.Onceyouare
finishededitingtheparametersinthestudy,clickOK.
WhenfinishedaddingstudiestotheParameterslist,pressOKbuttontosave.
