Look and feel
This is similar to a grid game. Though actual grids wont be present. There will be
portrait game area where tiles will be falling from top of the screen. These tiles will be
item tiles.
The idea of look and feel can be said to be derived from games such as diamond
dash, bejeweled blitz, Jelly splash.

How the game is different?


However, the game will have dark background which will be more like Bejeweled
Blitz and not bright like Diamond Dash or Jelly Splash. As also grids are not
present in the game.

Summary
This is a tap-based game. To play the game will require concentration and speed.

Gameplay

As this is a tap-based game, player needs to tap the screen to start the game.
The player has to match item tile at the top centre which is our required tile to be
matched with the tiles in the playing area.
The goal of the game is to avoid complete filling of the playing area.
The playing area will be filling the entire time with the item tiles. These item tiles will
be falling from the top of the playing area.
Hence to avoid filling, player should be continuously tapping the required tiles. If the
player taps wrong tile the time taken for tapping that wrong tile will be wasted.
This will result into accumulating of the tiles in the playing area. Hence, presence of
mind coupled with speed is of utmost importance here.
In the later stages boosters will be provided to the player.

Mind-set
The player should keep presence of mind while playing the game. The player will feel
powerful since the beginning. The player should hurry while tapping the tiles. However, he
should be calm enough to notice that a new tile to be matched has appeared.

Game Description (Brief)


Forbidden Universe is a Free casual game based on celestial theme where you come across
various heavenly bodies which you have to match and burst with a tap with a flashing speed!!!!
Forbidden Universe is an easy to play, enjoyable and challenging game and it will boost your
agility and concentration. It is targeted for a wide range of audience may it be young or elderly,
or an infant everyone will find the game highly interesting and addictive. The ultimate goal of the
game is to reach to the top of score chart by tapping as many as possible heavenly bodies in a
given time frame. A later stage involves Lightning monster which you have to avoid tapping.
Boosters such as a friendly Meteor and a Comet will help you score more.

Game Description (Detailed)

Forbidden Universe as the name suggests is a game whose idea is based upon
celestial, heavenly objects.
Eye-capturing graphics coupled with fun animation makes Forbidden Universe a game
which every individual will want to play and explore.
The dark night background with the cartoonish objects such as star, moon, earth and
other planets in the foreground will be fascinating from audience perspective.
Forbidden Universe is a free, casual tap-based game targeted for all those individual
who like fun, adventure and speed thus can be played by infants as well as the grownups. This specifies a wide range of audience being covered.
The game is not time-taking, does not requires building strategy or planning, just what
an individual will need is speed and concentration. Hence how a player performs
determines his agility and so Forbidden Universe will be lot helpful in improving speed of
an individual and his activeness.
The player has to keep on tapping the celestial objects appearing in the playing area
which are matching to a required item tile. The player has to tap real fast or else the area
will get completely filled with objects and player will lose.

Influences (Brief)

Influence #1
Diamond Dash (Game)

This is also a tap based game wherein we destroy similar item tiles with one tap. This
game became popular among the tap games. I played it a lot. Since it does not contain a
lot of complications I feel more people got attracted to it.

Influence #2
Tetris (Game)

An arcade game though not tap based it has the idea that shapes keep filling the game
area. The shapes keep falling from top. My game has similar UI.
The idea of tap based games amuses me as they are simple to understand. For a player
to begin playing does not require lot of knowledge of different mechanisms or controls as
one tap will do what is required to keep the game running. Hence, I came up with the idea
of this game. Also, concentration and speed are two important factors for me for playing
game. This game of mine couples both these factors.

Controls
The player will have only have tap and slide controls for tiles and power ups respectively. To
destroy the tile player has to tap a particular tile to destroy it and make room for other tile in its
place. Player will have different power ups which he can use by sliding or dragging on the game
screen.

Mechanics

The mechanics of the game is tap based and drag based.


The player has to keep up with the game pace as the game speed will be increasing
with time.
There is an interesting mechanics for using power ups i.e., the player has to click on
the power up icon and drag on the world to execute the power up.

KEY FEATURES (USP)

Forbidden Universe is a free to play game.


The celestial graphics of the game makes it enjoyable to play.
The heavenly characters take the player into the fun world of the game.
Easy to play, it will test how fast one is and will end up making the person highly
addictive to this game.
Story mode of the game captures your interest to explore it more and more and more!!!
Since the game is not restricted to any time limit anyone can just pop the game screen
at any time of day and start playing with a tap!

Story and Gameplay


Story (Brief)
The story describes how Sun (personified as emperor of a galaxy) fought against evil
Lightning (obstacle in my game) with the help of Meteor and Comet (the boosters of my game).
Their conquest describes the 6 levels of story mode of my game.

Story (Detailed)
Centuries ago UNIVERSE was formed. Sun, Star, Moon, Planet, Satellites found their
existence in one of its galaxy. Sun and his ministers the stars looked after everyone and gave
them energy to keep going. Everyone was merry and cheerful. They did not have worries. But
what was coming their way was unseen. Miles away an evil creature called Lightning was
planning to destroy them.
One-day lightning showed its evil side and attacked. Moon, Planet, Satellite ran for shelter
under the Sun but were too late. Lightning had already gobbled them up and put them as
prisoners. Sun could not protect its galaxy. Darkness covered everything and everyone. The Sun
was too saddened by this and started losing its magnificent glow.
Meteor and Comet who were known for their valour and helping nature happened to pass
by the galaxy of the Sun soon after the destruction. Seeing the destruction and saddening of the
Sun they approached him for help. They would mingle their power with the Sun to free his subjects
from prison of Lightning. However, this task was not as easy as it seemed.
The empire of Lightning was well-guarded and every nook and corner had its own evil
spell. There were 6 doors to the prison where lightning had caged stars, moon, planets and
satellites. Meteor and Comet boosted Suns will and the trio left for their mission.
As they entered the vicinity of Lightning they encountered the first door to the Milky Way.
Sun wanted to make sure that meteor and comet are not harmed for his fight. He urged them to
wait at a safe distance and decided to strike on the first door all by himself. Sun could take down
the door in no time and felt powerful once again.
Then they entered through the first door and saw the second door which lead them to
Neutrinos. Sun assured meteor and comet that he will be able to take down this door and asked
them to save their power and energy for the upcoming obstacles. After some successful efforts,
Sun was able to take down the rectangular door.

After this lied the third door to the Quasars. This door was tougher than the previous two
and though Sun used all its energy some or other corner of door remained untouched which made
it difficult to break. Meteor helped Sun to cover every nook and corner and they destroyed the
door.
Now they proceeded towards fourth door which will open way for Pulsars. Knowing that
previous door was difficult for just the Sun to knock off this time the Sun and Meteor both charged
in unison and with some efforts were able to knock the door off.
Next was the fifth door leading to Big Freeze on which Lightning had casted his powers.
This door seemed difficult to crack and with the Lightning overpowering it, it almost seemed
impossible. However, Sun reminded himself of his subjects who were locked inside the cage
behind that prison door. He determined to himself that he would free them. Sun with the shield of
Meteor casted his full power and the door came down with a loud thunder.
Lightning could not accept his defeat. He emptied all his evil spirits over the sixth door
which would lead to The Black Hole and destroying it would destroy evil powers of Lightning. The
Lightning was determined not to accept defeat and started casting its evil spirits all over. Sun and
Meteor now seemed helpless. At the very moment Comet extended his support. With his full
strength and speed, it bumped into door causing a big explosion. Sun and meteor also used all
of their energy at this very same time. The door exploded and the evil powers of Lightning were
doomed. Lightning vanished as soon as he saw his near end.
Sun freed his subjects. He also found that not only his galaxy was captive but also other
galaxies were captives. He freed them and together Sun, Meteor and Comet pledged to help other
galaxies whenever an evil like Lightning appeared again.
In this way the FORBIDDEN UNIVERSE found its life once again.

Gameplay (Brief)
My game menu consists of three modes:
Story Mode
Arcade Mode
Multiplayer Mode
The arcade mode and multiplayer modes are dependent on the story mode. The player
would unlock arcade mode after completing level 3 of story mode and would unlock
multiplayer mode after completing level 5 of story mode.
The story mode contains 6 levels, each level with three modes. Every new level will
get more and more difficult.
The arcade mode is the unending mode of the game wherein the player can explore
the game as much as he wants.
The multiplayer mode would allow the players to play one-on-one matches with a timer
of 90 seconds. The players will also wager coins in this mode.

Gameplay (Detailed)
My game menu consists of three modes:
1) Story Mode
2) Arcade Mode
3) Multiplayer Mode
Every game mode will have Pause button at the top right corner. Tapping on this will
open a dialog box from right. This will pause the game and the background will be blurred.
Player can access the dialog box which will contain option and exit to main menu tab. If
player choses option, sound and instructions can be accessed. If player choses exit to
main menu he will come to the start screen.

Story-mode:

This mode has 6 levels. Each level deals with different universal phenomena. Each level
will contain 3 modes which will depend upon speed of tiles falling and time for which the
required item tile appears. Completing each mode gives one star.
Each level will start with slow mode. In this mode the speed of falling tiles will be less and
the changing of item tile will be slower. After completing this mode player will gain 1 star
and the mode will become fast. Here the falling of tiles will be fast as compared to previous

mode and changing of required tile will be fast also. Completion of this mode will give 2 nd
star to player. At the third mode, the falling of tiles will become faster than the 2 nd mode
and the changing of tiles will also be rapid. After completion of this mode successfully
player gets the 3rd star. All 3 stars are necessary for player to go to next level. The three
modes will be distinguished from each other by the animation of Speeding-Up.
At later levels Meteor and Comet booster is given to player which he has to drag to the
matching tile. This will result in destruction of all those matching tiles in the playing area
at the same time.

The 6 levels and associated shapes are:


Level 1: Milky Way
The game starts with Milky Way. This level will introduce player to the game and will
be easy to play. Player will not be able to use any boosters in this level.
Level 2: Neutrinos
Once, the player successfully finishes Milky Way level he can go to next level of
Neutrinos. The level will be more difficult than previous one. Some unwanted tiles
will also appear and tapping on them will just waste the time. No boosters in this level
also.
Level 3: Quasars
After successful completion of Neutrinos mode, the player can proceed to next level
of Quasars. This will be difficult than Neutrinos level. Unwanted tiles will also appear.
Some tiles with meteor booster will appear in random intervals of time. By tapping
on these the player can collect booster and then use them anytime in the game. In
this level the booster will appear 4 times in each mode. Also, successful completion
of this mode will unlock Arcade mode of the game.
Level 4: Pulsars
After gaining 3 stars in Quasars player can unlock next level which is Pulsars. The
difficulty increases than previous level. The booster appears for 3 times. Also the
unwanted or blank tiles will appear.
Level 5: Big Freeze
Successful completion of Pulsars will make player proceed to next level of Big
Freeze. This will be more difficult than previous one as it will contain some tiles called
Lightning tiles. Tapping on these tiles will double the tiles in the playing area. Booster
appears for 3 times. Successful completion of this mode also unlocks the Multiplayer
mode.
Level 6: Black Hole
After completion of Big Freeze, player goes to next level of Black Hole. This would
be the most difficult of all levels. The booster tile will appear for just 2 times. Another
booster Comet will also appear once in all three modes. Using this booster will
disappear all the item tiles in the playing area. However, if there is lightning obstacle
present then it would trigger resulting in doubling of the item tiles. The player has to
wisely use them. Lightning tile will also appear.

The score of player will be noted at the end of every level and be displayed in score board
along with other players.

Arcade mode:

This mode can be unlocked by the player only after completing level 3 of story-mode.
This mode is unending. Here, the player will be able to explore the game to a great extent.
Initially, the item to be matched will be displayed for 8 seconds. The player has to keep
tapping the tiles matching that item. After 8 seconds the item tile will change and different
item will appear. The player has to keep on matching the new tile.
For destroying one tile player gets 10 points.
After reaching 500 points the time for which the item tile will appear changes to 7
seconds.
Here for destroying one tile the player gets 20 points. After reaching 2000 points
the time for item tile to appear reduces to 6 seconds.
Here for destroying each tile the player gets 50 points. After reaching 6000 points
the time for item tile to appear reduces to 5 seconds.
Here for destroying each tile the player gets 100 points. After reaching 10000
points the time for item tile to appear reduces to 4 seconds.
After this point for destroying each tile the player gets 250 points.
Now the item tile will start appearing for random amount of time. This time interval can be
very small as 2 seconds or maximum 7 seconds or anywhere between this.
Clicking the wrong tiles will reduce the score by 25.
Also an obstacle tile i.e., Lightning tile will be appearing from the beginning of the game.
Tapping this tile will cause the number of item tiles in the playing area to double. The
difference will be the frequency for which it appears. Initially it will appear for very less
number of times. As the score increases the frequency of this tile increases.

There are two boosters in the game.


Meteor booster.
After 6000 points this booster will appear among item tiles. When the player taps this
booster tile it will get stored with player. He can use this booster whenever he wants
by sliding the meteor tile in the playing area at the item tile to be destroyed. This will
result into destruction of all similar tiles at the same time. At this point the difficulty of
the game will be so much that player will be forced to pick the meteor.
Comet booster.
This booster will appear only after 10000 points. But it wont appear randomly. For
getting this booster the player has to play real fast as to achieve 3000 points in 6
seconds. Using this booster will disappear all the item tiles in the playing area.

However, if there is lightning obstacle present then it would trigger resulting in
doubling of the item tiles.

Multiplayer mode:

This mode can be unlocked by the player only after completion of level 5. The player
has to login to store.
This mode allows the players to play one-on-one.
The players would be allowed to wager coins on the game. The player has to wager
same amount of coins. The initial amount of coins given to a player wanting to play
multiplayer mode will be 100 coins. These coins will be given after successful
completion of level 5 of story mode.
The game will start 5 seconds after wagering the coins.
There will be one timer of 90 seconds. The players have to keep destroying the item
tiles according to the requirement. There wont be any blank tiles in this mode.
However, there would be meteor booster and lightning obstacle.
The players compete with each other for a high score.
After completion of 90 seconds the player with high score will win the game and would
get double of the coins he wagered. He can use these coins for wagering the next
time. The player who loses will lose the coins wagered. If the game area is filled before
90sec mark the player who plays game for less time lose.

Rewards, Achievements and Adv. Integration


Reward
Story mode Rewards:
Learn to play the game.
Unlock meteor and learn how to use it.
Unlock comet booster and learn to use it.

Arcade mode Rewards:


Gain daily 1 of each power up by viewing adv.
Multiplayer Rewards:
Each player has some coins which he can bet online with PvP style.
The winner will take all the coins and the looser will lose the amount he placed.
These coins can be used to buy upgrades n skins later in game.
Achievements
Story mode:
Complete level 1.
Unlock level 2.

Learn about lightning tile.

The banner will be posted on the bottom of the portrait screen.

Level Design or Modular Level Design

Game Flow
1. After clicking on icon of game the logo of game will appear.
2. Then the screen will move on to main menu which is the start screen.
3. The first icon available on the start screen is of options. It will contain following:
i) Sound icon: This will help to toggle the sound of the game ON/OFF.
ii) Instructions: This will provide instructions on how to play the game.
4. The next icon available is the Store.
This has the in-game purchase of coins available for player.
5. The next icon is of Play. This contains further 3 options.
i) Story-mode:
Selecting this will open the story mode for the player.
It has further 6 levels.
The player will start from 1st level.
Completion of each level will unlock next level.
Also by completing level 3 the player will unlock the arcade mode and by
completing level 5 player will unlock multiplayer mode.
ii) Arcade-mode:
Selecting this will open the unending arcade mode.
However, it will be locked till player reaches level 3 in story-mode.
iii) Multiplayer-mode:
Selecting this will open the multiplayer mode.
However, it will be locked till player reaches level 5 in story-mode.
6. Every game mode will have Pause button at the top right corner. Tapping on this will
open a dialog box from right. This will pause the game and the background will be blurred.
Player can access the dialog box which will contain option and exit to main menu tab. If
player choses option, sound and instructions can be accessed. If player choses exit to
main menu he will come to the start screen.
7. For using multiplayer mode, the player has to login through game-login option present in
the main menu.
8. The next tab will be credits tab. This will contain the credit information for the game.
9. At the bottom will be the exit tab clicking on which will help player to return from the game.

Graphics

Style Attributes

The colour combination would be contrast. The background colour will be black while
the item tiles will be bright.
Graphic style is cartoony. The item tiles will contain cartoon shaped bright coloured
elements. Thick outlines for item tiles. Hues will be considerable for item.
The tile outlines are black shaded with blur.
The curves on the object are smooth curves and tiles can overlap each other the one
outer will be highlighted.
While the other tiles will be dimmer or blurred.
The background will be dark and twinkle glow.
The cartoon style item tiles could be cute.
