Brochure
Description: A brochure to advertize a wedding company.
Date: July 9, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 | Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Objectives: To be able to create a brochure using all three Adobe
programs using the skills we have learned throughout the semester.
Process: I started off creating my logo in Illustrator. I typed out the
name and then I traced a diamond using the pen tool. And I messed
around with the colors to see which would best fit the logo. I then
used Photoshop to cut out my cake. I used the magentic lasso tool
and quick selection tool to cut out the cake. I then used the eraser
tool to erase any white spots that may have been left behind. I then
used InDesign to put everything together. I used the ruller to create
my tri-fold brochure. I picked a color for my background and put my
text on and placed my images in the desired places.
Montage
Description: An inspiration montage on being able to reach for the stars and
your dreams.
Date: May 28, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130| Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Program/ Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Objectives: To be able to create a montage using various images and use
Adobe Photoshop to put it all together.
Process: I started by finding two images that I really liked and thought
would go togerher for a montage. Since both of the images I used had
to do with outerspace I tried to find an inspirational quote that would
go with it. So I put both of my images on a document on Photoshop I
then blended the two images together so it looked like it was part of
the scene. I then moved the astronaut to it was positoned in the right
place. I then made a giant triangle and lowered the opacity so I could
write the font on the triangle and that it was readable. I then made
the most important words in the quote in white so it stood out more.
Photodesign
Description: A personally taken picture on a Canon camera.
Date: May 21, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130| Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Photoshop
Canon PhotoShot camera
Objectives: Be able to capture a quality image with good composition and focus.
Be able to edit the Photo using Photoshop such as brightness, contrast, and
saturation. Also to be able to use a filter to edit the image.
Process:
I first took an image on the Canon camera of flowers on a tree branch and made
the background go out of focus so the flowers stuck out more. I adjusted the
brightness, hue, and saturation of the image. I then added a circle and then went
to path operations and made it so the background was yellow and the picture
was in the circle part. I then added a quote and changed the font and color
so it is readable. I then added light purple polka dots to the side for a repeating
element.
Letterhead
Description: A matching letterhead and business card with a personally
designed logo.
Date: June 11, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130| Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Objectives: To be able to create a logo that is for a company or business.
Process: For my logo I drew out a circle and then added color to it. I then
made a stem using the pen tool and added color to that as well. I then
added my text inside the logo. I then opened a document in InDesign
and added my logo to the top left of the page. I then drew a line using
the line tool from my logo to the other side of the page. I then added my
name above the line and then my contact information on the bottom of
the line. I then added my logo again, this time without the words. I made
it really big on the page and then lowered the opacity so it made a
watermark on the page.
Logos
Description: A logo for my grandmas book that accurately represents the
book itself.
Date: June 4, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130| Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Programs/ Tools: Adobe Illustrator
Objectives: To be able to create a variety of logos for a company, business,
or a person.
Process: I first sketched out ideas for the logo. I tried to write down parts of
the book that made it what it is. I first used the elipse tool to make a circle
and then I added smaller circles around the circle and changed the colors
of each circle, so it was in a pattern. I then deleted the circle so the smaller
circles made the circle. I then added text to the circle. I then made a
black and white version of the same logo. I then thought since the book is
based in Texas, that I would draw the sate of Texas using the pen tool. I then
added that to the circle and then text.
Event Ad
Description: To promote an event using only Microsoft Word and a
scanner.
Date: May 14, 2016
Course/ Instructor: Comm 130| Section 7
Lindsey LeFevre
Programs/Tools: Microsoft Word
Espson Scanner
Objectives: To find a high-quality image and scan it. Create a full bleed
design. Use text boxes and images and insert on Word.
Process: I first found an image from a magazine and scanned it and
cropped to it the part that I liked best. I then opened up Word and
placed the image on the document. I then made a big rectangle
that had rounded edges and then placed the text and information
of the event. I then placed a title and a subtitle underneath that. I
made sure the image and the text box were the same dimensions.

information about your logo design process. Design a webpage
using HTML. Acquire knowledge on how to use CSS. Identify Hex
colors for a webpage.
Process: I created my webpage using a program called
TextWrangler. I marked my content and after doing so, I used a pre
made CSS file and linked it to my HTML. I used the colors from logo
and incorporated that into my webpage. I found these colors by
using Photoshop and then going to the eydropper tool and then
getting the color hex. I picked the fonts I wanted to use and then
some back up fonts as well. I used padding around my logo as well.

my design. I emphasized my title as my focal point. I was given the
logo, image, and text for this.

the other side of the business card. I made sure the contact information
was small. I made sure my colors went along with my overall theme of the
