Process:
I used InDesign for the layout of the brochure and to put it together. I used Illustrator to
create the Oregon logo for the fictitious organization. I also created the map with Illustrator
and used the new logo as destinations on the map. I used Photoshop to cut out the heart.
I went with a split complementary color scheme. I used teal and red for the text and the
background was a light orange.

I created the hummingbird with Illustrator for her logo and used in both her business card
and stationary to make the whole project cohesive. I created it to target primarily older
women that are interested in the vintage and antiques and I chose the color scheme I did to
create a professional tone.

Adobe Photoshop
Objectives:
Use the FOCUS design process with strong focal point and flow
Unify a layout with a consistent theme and dominant spiritual message
Learn to blend two or more images together gradually, using masks
Demonstrate more advanced Photoshop skills for layout with multiple elements
Use a mask to apply a filter to one part of the image
Process:
I used Photoshop to take three different images and make one original image. I used a
mask and the brush tool to create the universe being shaped into a path. I also used an image as a filter on the overall image, changing the opacity and masking out some parts of it
to blend well with the image and give it a different feel. I used an image with a low opacity
to create a filter and did an orange color overlay to warm up the forest seen.

Microsoft Word
Objectives:
Process:
I used Microsoft Word for the entire project. I used alignment, repetition, and typography to
make it aesthetically pleasing. I used a complementary color scheme with Manhattan and
Breaker Bay (according to some obscure color namer website.) Essentially its a light pink
and a baby blue. I used the blue for the background of the body copy and the chevrons
while I used the pink to accentuate the title.

Process:
I used only Adobe Illustrator. All illustrations are original. I started with three different ideas
and then chose one to refine. I used the pen and width tool to create the cupcake and really
enjoyed making this logo. I used a pink, an orange, a teal and a light tan to convey the
message of the inside of a cake and frostings.

pixels.

audience.
Acquire a working knowledge of HTML.
Acquire a working knowledge of CSS.
Identify hex colors to match logo, using Photoshop color picker.
Process:
I used IDs for the headings. I changed the opacity of the boxes that the information is in. I
changed the link appearance from the basic blue to colors that would be more cohesive in
my design. It is not seen in the web page screen shot but I changed the elements to shrink or
grow with the size of the screen. I also added the two fonts with @font-faces.

Process:
I used Photoshop for this project. I used a small Canon camera to take the photo. I specifically focused on the message and contrast portions of the FOCUS principles through
typography and a specific color scheme. I chose a complementary color scheme with teal
and orange. The orange was to blend with the rust in the actual image and I liked the blue
for the word water and for the way it stands out.

Objectives:
Process:
I used Adobe InDesign to create this flier. I went through the five step process by identifying
my audience, sketching my ideas, organizing the layout into a readable and eye pleasing
design, I contrasted the colors and objects to make it interesting. Using a distinct line, two
fonts and the same color scheme in the image, blocks and logo I unified the design and
then simplified it to be easily read and understood by the target audience.
